Xiaomi Pad 9 Leak: 11.2-inch Display and Snapdragon 8

Leaks don’t announce themselves politely. They arrive with a handful of numbers and enough detail to sketch a product before the curtain drops. That’s exactly what's happening with Xiaomi’s next tablet duo: the Pad 9 and Pad 9 Pro have surfaced in certification databases and Chinese social posts, and the picture looks deliberate—big screens, big batteries, and flagship silicon.

At the center of the rumor is a display that will be marketed as 11.2 inches while the panel itself measures roughly 11.16 inches. Expect an LCD panel with a 3.2K resolution and a high refresh rate—crisp and smoother than typical mid-range slates, designed to compete with productivity-minded tablets as well as media-heavy consumption devices.

Power delivery comes from a hefty 9,720 mAh cell. The standard Pad 9 reportedly supports 45W wired charging, while the Pro jumps to 67W, shaving minutes off recharge times and making the tablet more usable between long sessions. That marriage of large capacity and faster charging points to Xiaomi positioning these models as all-day machines rather than weekend-only toys.

Under the hood, the standard Pad 9 is said to use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, whereas the Pad 9 Pro is tipped to carry the more powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 5. Two chips, two different audiences: one aiming for efficiency and good performance, the other for peak responsiveness in demanding apps and games.

Certification entries back up the whispers. The Pro appears in the China 3C database under model number 2612CRPFFC, while the standard unit shows up as M656BA. The leaks originated on Weibo and were echoed by local tech insiders, so the details feel grounded rather than speculative chatter.

Both models ship with HyperOS 3, signaling Xiaomi wants a unified, refined software experience that complements the hardware improvements.

It’s a sensible play. A near-11.2-inch 3.2K LCD, almost 10,000 mAh of battery, and Snapdragon 8-series chips would place the Pad 9 lineup squarely in the premium segment—without necessarily demanding a premium price. The real question now: how will Xiaomi balance specs, build quality, and price when these tablets arrive in China first and then possibly wider markets?
