Saudi Arabia has introduced its first national-brand electric cars, revealing the Ceer EXOBOT in sedan and SUV forms with technology sourced from global partners. The EVs arrive with more than 800 horsepower, an 800-volt electrical architecture and a 112 kWh battery, placing them squarely among the technically ambitious entrants to the global electric market.
Ceer, founded in 2022 as a joint venture between the kingdom's Public Investment Fund and Taiwan's Foxconn, says BMW is supplying component technologies and licensing certain systems while Foxconn handles the vehicles' electrical architecture, connectivity and software. The collaboration leaves Ceer positioned as a Saudi brand that draws on international suppliers and engineering, rather than a rebadged foreign model.

The EXOBOT line is offered in the two body styles introduced earlier. At the top trim both models use a three-motor layout producing a combined output reported between 838 and 850 horsepower. Ceer states the sedan has a range of more than 600 kilometers and the SUV more than 500 kilometers under the company’s stated test cycle. Acceleration is claimed at about 2.6 seconds for 0-100 km/h in the sedan and around 2.9 seconds for the SUV. Torque vectoring is standard, and some versions include air suspension.

The 800-volt architecture is not presented as a marketing number alone. Ceer says the higher-voltage system supports faster charging and more efficient power management, reflecting an intent to match advanced global EV technical norms from the outset.

Factory scale and production timeline
Production will be carried out at a new manufacturing complex in King Abdullah Economic City that spans more than one million square meters. Ceer says the construction contract for the facility exceeded 5 billion Saudi riyals and that the plant will house pressing, bodyshop, paint and final assembly operations. Published target capacity ranges from about 170,000 to 240,000 vehicles per year, a figure that distinguishes design capacity from early commercial output.

Ceer has said it signed 16 localization contracts in 2026 worth a combined 3.7 billion Saudi riyals as part of efforts to build a domestic supply chain. The company also plans a seven-model lineup over five years covering multiple segments and powertrain types, not solely battery electric vehicles, and aims first at the Saudi and Gulf Cooperation Council markets while keeping export ambitions open.
Price for the EXOBOT models has not been announced. Ceer remains in the pre-production phase and says initial deliveries are scheduled for 2027.
