Honor unveils Magic9 and Magic9 Super Edition with 11,000mAh

Honor announced the Magic9 and Magic9 Super Edition in China on 28 September 2026; the Magic9 has a 6.37" display and an 8,000mAh battery, while the Super Edition offers a 6.81" screen, an 11,000mAh battery and a 30,000 rpm active cooling fan.

The Magic9 uses a 6.37" OLED panel at 1,236 x 2,664 pixels, 120Hz refresh rate (non-LTPO), 10-bit color, HDR and Dolby Vision support and a 2,000 nits peak global brightness.

Brightness control is via 3,840Hz high-frequency PWM and the panel can dim to 1 nit.

The phone packs an 8,000mAh battery with 80W fast wired charging, 27W reverse wired charging and 50W fast wireless charging.

Cameras include a 200MP main sensor (1/1.4", f/1.9) with CIPA 7.5 stabilization, a 200MP periscope (1/1.56") with a dual-prism design and CIPA 7.5 stabilization, a 50MP ultra-wide (f/2.0) and a 55MP front camera on a square 1:1 1/2.74" sensor (f/2.0).

Honor said it worked with Arri on camera development and fitted the Magic9 with the Honor H1 imaging chip, rated at 18.8 TOPS per watt for AI tasks such as noise reduction and image processing.

The Magic9 supports the G200 teleconverter and runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 paired with 12GB or 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB to 1TB storage options.

Honor highlighted AI features under the Yoyo AI brand and integration with the Apple ecosystem, including Apple Watch compatibility and cross-notification with an iPhone. The phone includes one-tap file transfer for users switching from Apple, Oppo, vivo or Xiaomi devices.

The Magic9 is rated IP68 for submersion, IP69 for high-pressure water jets and IP69K for high-pressure hot water jets. Available colors are Black, Olive Green, Yellow and White.

The Magic9 is on pre-order in China. The base 12GB/256GB model is priced at CNY 5,000 (about $745 / £560 / €655 / ₹71,500). Honor lists additional 12GB/512GB, 16GB/512GB and 16GB/1TB variants.

Magic9 Super Edition

The Magic9 Super Edition uses a 6.81" LTPS display at 1,280 x 2,788 pixels, 120Hz refresh rate, 10-bit color and HDR support (no Dolby Vision) and a 2,000 nits peak global brightness.

Its headline feature is an 11,000mAh battery with 80W wired charging, 27W reverse wired charging and 50W wireless charging; wireless power sharing is supported.

Honor said the Super Edition measures 8.1mm thick and weighs 227g. By comparison the 6.37" Magic9 weighs 209g and is 8.5mm thick.

The phone uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 with 12GB or 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB to 1TB of storage.

For sustained performance Honor fitted a large vapor chamber and an active cooling fan. Honor says the cooling system can dissipate 12W of heat; the fan spins at 30,000 rpm and, thanks to a ducted design, delivers 30% better heat dissipation.

Camera hardware on the Super Edition includes a 200MP main sensor (1/1.55"), a 50MP 3x telephoto (f/2.4) and a 12MP ultra-wide with autofocus (f/2.4). The front camera is a 50MP rectangular sensor with an f/2.0 90 degree lens.

The rear camera can record 4K video at 120fps; the front camera records up to 4K at 60fps. The Super Edition also uses the Honor H1 imaging chip and supports the G200 teleconverter.

Available colors match the Magic9: Black, Olive Green, Yellow and White. The Super Edition is on pre-order in China with a base 12GB/256GB price of CNY 4,500 (about $670 / £505 / €590 / ₹64,000).

Honor noted most new accessories are compatible only with the Pro Max; the G200 teleconverter is the accessory to use with the Magic9 and Magic9 Super Edition.
