Samsung launches Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra and Tab S12+

Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra and Galaxy Tab S12+ and said the tablets will go on sale in select markets starting October 7.

Both tablets are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset and run Android 17-based OneUI 9, which adds a multi-window layout with up to three sections and the latest Galaxy AI features. Samsung has promised seven years of OS and security updates.

The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra has a 14.6 inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 2,960 x 1,848 pixel resolution.

The Galaxy Tab S12+ uses a 12.6 inch panel with a 2,800 x 1,752 pixel resolution.

The Ultra packs an 11,600mAh battery and the Plus a 10,600mAh cell. Both support 45W wired fast charging.

The Ultra has a dual rear camera setup with a 13MP primary sensor and an 8MP ultrawide camera. The Plus has a single 13MP rear camera. Both tablets use a 12MP ultrawide front camera for selfies and video calls.

The Tab S12 Ultra supports Wi-Fi 7; the Tab S12+ supports Wi-Fi 6E. Both include Bluetooth 6.0, S Pen support, and a microSD card slot that accepts up to 2TB of additional storage.

The Tab S12 Ultra starts at $1,399 (€1,569/£1,399) for the 12GB/256GB model and is also offered in 12GB/512GB and 16GB/1TB variants. The Tab S12+ starts at $1,199 (€1,329/£1,199) for the 12GB/256GB model and is also offered in a 12GB/512GB variant.

Both tablets will be offered in Gray and Silver in select markets from October 7.
