Evan Blass reports that Samsung will unveil the Galaxy Tab S12 generation on October 7, according to a post dated 14 September 2026.

The leak landscape already paints a clear picture of the two premium tablets and suggests they are ready for market: multiple renders, certification filings and benchmark sightings have circulated, and the Tab S12 Ultra has appeared in Geekbench running a Dimensity 9500 chipset. The reports expect the Tab S12+ to use the same chip. The Dimensity 9500 is a high-end MediaTek system-on-chip commonly seen in flagship Android devices.

Design leaks indicate only modest changes. Renders show the S12 Ultra retains a display notch, while overall styling appears close to the previous generation. Samsung did not ship an 11-inch vanilla Tab this year; the lineup will include a 14.6-inch Tab S12 Ultra and a 12.4-inch Tab S12+ in place of an 11-inch model, mirroring last year when there was no Tab S11+.

Power, battery and launch timing

Performance leaks centre on the Dimensity 9500 findings from Geekbench for the Ultra and the expectation that the Plus uses the same chipset. Battery details are clearer for the Ultra: it is reported to keep an 11,600mAh cell with 45W charging. The Tab S12+ may receive a battery increase compared with the Tab S10+, but available leaks stop short of firm specifications for the Plus battery capacity. It is not clear why Samsung pushed this launch roughly a month after earlier expectations; the Tab S11 and Tab S11 Ultra previously appeared in early September alongside the S25 FE.

Leaked pricing covers Wi-Fi-only configurations. Reported prices are: Tab S12+ 256GB at $1,200 and 512GB at $1,400, with no 1TB option listed. Tab S12 Ultra is shown at $1,400 for 256GB, $1,600 for 512GB and $2,000 for 1TB. The leaks note that a 5G-capable version would add about $150 to those sums.

Those are the substantive details from current leaks and the Evan Blass report; the October 7 unveiling date is the first clear scheduling signal following months of scattered leaks and certification sightings.
