OnePlus has announced the Ace 7 series, consisting of the Ace 7 and Ace 7 Pro, gaming-focused phones that include active cooling fans and 185Hz displays. The hardware and cooling system are the defining features; OnePlus positions these models for extended gaming sessions where thermal control and high frame-rate support matter.
Hardware and display
The Ace 7 Pro is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset paired with either 12GB or 16GB of RAM, and storage that starts at 256GB and reaches up to 1TB. The phone uses a 6.78 inch LTPO panel, which allows the refresh rate to scale as low as 1Hz for power savings and up to 165Hz for normal use. OnePlus says the screen can reach 185Hz, but that peak rate is available only in select games that support it; everyday apps and standard use cap at 165Hz.

OnePlus supplied a 200 megapixel main camera with an f/1.8 aperture on the Ace 7 Pro, and a 50MP telephoto unit with an f/2.8 lens offering 3.5x optical zoom. The front-facing sensor is 16MP with an f/2.4 aperture. There is no ultrawide camera on the Pro model; reports note this was probably due to space constraints caused by the internal fan layout.
Cooling, battery and build
The headline hardware difference for both phones is an active cooling fan. The Ace 7 Pro uses a dual-airflow design with two air intakes and two grilles to disperse heat, and the vent openings are located on the protruding camera island rather than the side frame. Phones with similar active cooling have placed vents on the side frame, as seen on some RedMagic models.

The Ace 7 Pro is powered by a 9,000 mAh battery and supports up to 100W charging via Oppo's proprietary SuperVOOC standard. The front panels use Crystal Shield Glass, the backs are glass-fiber reinforced plastic, and the middle frame is metal-clad. Despite having an internal fan, the device carries four ingress protection certifications: IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K.
OnePlus offers the Ace 7 Pro in Black, White and a light Blue option, with a starting price of CNY 4,799 (about $715) for the 12GB/256GB configuration.

The Ace 7 is presented as a slightly dialed-down version. It uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 V series chipset, described as the same CPU core design but with the GPU split into two slices and less dedicated memory, resulting in lower overall GPU performance. The telephoto module on the Pro is replaced on the Ace 7 by an 8MP ultrawide camera, and the cooling fan omits the dual-airflow arrangement. The Ace 7 starts at CNY 4,399 (about $655) for the 12GB/256GB model, and comes in Black, White and a gray-to-gold gradient finish.
