The AI assistants coming to Apple Creator Studio will be available in US English only and require an Apple Intelligence-capable device, Apple says.
Apple announced a broad Creator Studio update it describes as the most exciting since the suite's January launch as a subscription bundle for creative professionals. The company is rolling changes across Final Cut Pro, Motion, Compressor, Pixelmator Pro, Logic Pro, Keynote, Pages, Numbers, and Freeform, with the new builds arriving on the App Store in November and free for existing subscribers.

Editing, effects, and image workflows
Final Cut Pro for Mac now includes MotionVFX integration, delivering thousands of templates, graphics, titles, and transitions plus tools for rotoscoping, tracking, and color grading. The Content Hub is available inside Final Cut Pro with Apple-curated stock videos, photos, and backgrounds. Editors can open any image from a timeline in Pixelmator Pro and have edits saved back to the project automatically, or generate images from text descriptions inside Pixelmator Pro. Additional Final Cut Pro additions include more keyframe easing options, the ability to disconnect clips from the primary storyline and place them anywhere on the timeline, and 23 new transcription languages.
Motion gains MotionVFX plug-ins for cinematic color grading, 3D camera tracking, and one-click selection, plus text-to-image generation, round-trip editing with Pixelmator Pro, and a new Displacement filter. Compressor adds the ability to encode Cinematic mode video recorded on the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone Duo. Pixelmator Pro introduces Generate Fill: users circle an area or use existing selection tools, describe the desired change, and the tool matches lighting, perspective, texture, upscales with Super Resolution, and can insert the result as a new layer with a mask.

Audio, AI assistants, and productivity features
Logic Pro on Mac receives an all-new Liquid Glass design and a new assistant in beta that Apple says is powered by Apple-built and third-party models. That assistant can help start a new song, set up a vocal track from a single prompt, or refine an active project. Logic's redesigned Browser consolidates loops, instruments, and effect patches and adds a Splice library. An on-device music understanding feature automatically analyzes and tags sounds so users can drag in a loop and find matching audio. Stem Splitter can isolate, replace, or rebalance drums, there is a Producer Pack from 20-time Grammy winner Sergio George, and Voice Memo Studio Sound reduces room ambience and background noise for recordings made on supported iPhones.
Keynote, Pages, and Numbers gain an AI assistant built on Apple models and OpenAI's that understands document context. Apple says the assistant can design, animate, and refine slides in Keynote; draft and restructure text in Pages; and calculate, visualize, and organize data in Numbers, where it also recommends chart types and can build tables using world knowledge. New Model Context Protocol support lets external AI agents read content, make edits, and run automated actions in all three apps. These apps also receive Content Hub stock video, new templates and themes, and Keynote adds an open JSON-based Keynote Interchange Format (.keyx). Freeform gets text styles and custom board background colors now, and in December will gain Pixelmator Pro image editing and editable shapes generated from text descriptions.

The updates are scheduled for the App Store in November and are free for existing Creator Studio subscribers. AI assistants are US English only and require an Apple Intelligence-capable device; the Logic Pro assistant requires macOS 27 Golden Gate, the Keynote, Pages, and Numbers assistants require iOS 27, iPadOS 27, or macOS 27, and Model Context Protocol support is Mac-only on macOS 27.
New Creator Studio subscribers will pay $12.99 per month or $129 per year after a one-month free trial. Buying a new Mac or a qualifying iPad includes three months free. College students and educators are offered $2.99 per month or $29.99 per year, and up to six family members can share a subscription.
