Overview: Leapmotor and Irmscher unveil a performance C10 for Europe
Stellantis-backed Chinese EV maker Leapmotor has teamed up with German tuning specialist Irmscher to create a high-performance, limited-edition version of the C10 SUV. Branded the Leapmotor i C10, this exclusive all-wheel-drive electric SUV will be capped at just 250 units and is scheduled to arrive in Germany in the fourth quarter of 2025.
Design and bespoke styling
Teaser images reveal a sportier visual package developed by Irmscher: large five-spoke sport wheels, red accent strips on the lower front bumper and an illuminated logo integrated beneath the full-width taillight. The camouflaged silhouette hints at a fixed rear spoiler and other aerodynamic touches. The collaboration aims to blend Leapmotor’s modern EV architecture with Irmscher’s decades of experience in bespoke vehicle customisation.
Specifications
Powertrain and performance
The Leapmotor i C10 will feature a dual-motor electric all-wheel-drive system producing a headline 585 horsepower. That output promises a 0–100 km/h sprint in under 4.0 seconds, positioning the limited-edition model as a performance-focused electric SUV in its segment.
Battery and charging
The i C10 will be equipped with an 81.9 kWh LFP battery pack and introduce 800-volt electrical architecture to Leapmotor’s European lineup. This configuration supports ultra-fast DC charging, with a reported 30% to 80% recharge time of roughly 22 minutes — a key selling point for long-distance usability and quick charge stops.
Market positioning and debut
Leapmotor plans to reveal further images, technical specifications and pricing information in early Q4 2025, with the international all-wheel-drive C10 making its European public debut at the Zurich Motor Show in October. The i C10’s limited production run and performance credentials aim to appeal to enthusiasts seeking a rare, high-powered electric SUV with European customisation pedigree.

Background: Irmscher and the C10 lineage
Irmscher, founded in 1968 and based in Remshalden, Baden-Württemberg, is known for crafting special editions and performance packages for iconic cars, having customised over 550,000 vehicles. The company already maintains a working relationship with Stellantis, making it a natural partner for Leapmotor’s move into the European performance-market.
Context and comparison
The Leapmotor i C10 aims to compete in the growing niche of high-performance electric SUVs. While mainstream C10 BEV versions offer strong efficiency and long range, the i C10 focuses on track-capable acceleration and premium customisation — distinguishing it from volume EVs and aligning it more with limited-run performance models from established European tuners.
Production and earlier C10 notes
The standard Leapmotor C10 debuted in China in March 2024 and expanded to overseas markets later that year. The updated C10 (2026 model year) went on sale in China from mid-May, priced from 122,800 yuan (about 17,000 USD), with a BEV variant using an 800V platform, a CLTC range of 605 km and a 220 kW (295 hp) electric motor. Deliveries of that update began on May 20.
