Geely Galaxy M9 Makes Global Premiere in Milan
Geely has officially unveiled its new flagship crossover, the Galaxy M9, at a grand event in Milan. Designed to lead the luxury SUV segment, the Galaxy M9 impresses with a sophisticated exterior, advanced technology, and a spacious three-row interior, signaling Geely's ambition to compete on the international automotive stage.

Modern Design Inspired by Concept Innovation
The genesis of the Galaxy M9 can be traced back to last year’s Galaxy Starship concept, which gained considerable attention at the Beijing Auto Show. While the original concept emphasized futuristic design elements, including unique rear "suicide" doors, the production-ready Galaxy M9 adopts conventional door architecture for practicality while maintaining much of the concept’s striking silhouette. Its bold styling includes a sleek, closed-off front grille, a distinctive light bar connecting the LED headlights, and a full-width LED taillight stretching across the rear—hallmarks of contemporary Chinese automotive design.
Interior Comfort and Cutting-Edge Technology
The Galaxy M9 boasts a six-seat configuration, ensuring a luxurious ride for all passengers. The cockpit features a slim, digital instrument cluster for the driver and an expansive central display dominating the dashboard. Rear passengers benefit from an independent floating multimedia screen, bringing connectivity and entertainment to all rows. Premium amenities abound, including dual wireless charging pads, a central console compartment with both heating and cooling functions, and seats equipped with heating, ventilation, and massage features. The M9 also integrates advanced driver assistance systems and next-generation autopilot capabilities, offering superior comfort and safety.

Performance, Platform, and Electric Range
Built upon the advanced GEA Evo platform, the Galaxy M9 will be offered as a plug-in hybrid SUV. While full powertrain details are yet to be revealed, Geely has confirmed impressive preliminary numbers: the SUV accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds, and its total driving range exceeds 1,500 kilometers on a single charge and fill-up. This positions the Galaxy M9 as a formidable contender among luxury plug-in hybrid SUVs.

Market Launch and Global Ambitions
Geely plans to commence sales of the Galaxy M9 before the end of 2025. The model’s debut in Milan aligns with Geely’s strategy to target not just the Chinese domestic market, but also international markets across Europe and beyond. Following its initial launch in China, the Galaxy M9 is expected to make its way to global dealerships, directly challenging established European and international brands in the premium crossover segment.
