Fortnite is dropping into Springfield. Epic Games has launched a month-long crossover with The Simpsons, bringing a cel-shaded Springfield Island, classic fast-paced Battle Royale, new skins, and crossover events for fans of both franchises.
What players will find on Springfield Island
The new limited-time island supports 80-player matches and promises a classic, rapid battle-royale loop. Springfield Island is rendered in a cel-shaded style and populated with iconic locations straight from the show: Krusty Burger, the Kwik-E-Mart, Moe’s Tavern, Springfield Nuclear Power Plant, Mr. Burns’ mansion and the Simpson family home.
Skins, Battle Pass content, and Sidekicks
The Springfield Battle Pass bundles familiar faces and tongue-in-cheek Fortnite crossovers. Expect character skins for Homer, Marge and Ned Flanders alongside Simpsons-fied Fortnite characters such as Blinky Fishstick and a Springfielder Peely. Many outfits include alternate variants — for example, Evil Homer and Witch Marge, nods to the Treehouse of Horror episodes.
Players can also unlock Peels, the first-ever Fortnite "Sidekick," exclusively through the Springfield Battle Pass. Other Sidekicks are scheduled to arrive in the Item Shop on November 7.

Weekly updates, shorts and crossover tie-ins
Gameplay on Springfield Island will evolve weekly through November, changing playlists and challenges to keep the action fresh. To accompany the event, four original Simpsons animated shorts will roll out across Fortnite’s social channels, the in-game Animated Shorts tab and Disney+ on these dates:
- Apocalypse D’oh — November 1
- Sugar High — November 10
- Multiplidiocy — November 17
- The Incredible Bulk — November 24
There’s also a limited Rocket League x The Simpsons event running until November 17. Completing Rocket League challenges unlocks themed items like the Blinky Topper, Homer’s Hedges Player Banner and Waste Wheels.
Why this crossover matters
Beyond skins and map changes, the partnership underscores a larger strategy: Disney’s investment in Epic Games and Fortnite as a platform for branded virtual worlds. The $1.5 billion injection last year signaled plans to build interconnected experiences — from Marvel and Star Wars to Avatar and Pixar — within an Unreal Engine–powered metaverse. The Simpsons crossover is a tangible glimpse of how major IP can live inside Fortnite’s social and competitive spaces.
Whether you’re a longtime Simpsons fan or a Fortnite competitor, Springfield Island offers a playful mix of nostalgia and fast-paced action — and a few surprises waiting behind familiar doors.
