Leaked Prices Put Samsung Fold8 and Watch9 on Alert

If you braced yourself for another Unpacked price hike, you weren’t wrong. A fresh leak circulating today outlines European retail tags for Samsung’s next wave of foldables and wearables — and the numbers trend upward across the board.

Mark your calendars: Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Z Fold8, Fold8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Flip8, Galaxy Watch9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 at an Unpacked event in London on July 22. The leak spells out exact euro prices for multiple storage tiers, and they edge higher than last year’s models.

The Fold8 Ultra — the premium follow-up to the Fold7 — reportedly starts at €2,199 for the 256GB model. Want more storage? The 512GB SKU is €2,399 and the 1TB option jumps to €2,799. That works out to roughly €100, €180 and €280 increases respectively versus the Fold7’s corresponding trims.

The wider, standard Fold8 appears to be priced a touch lower but still up from 2025. Pricing begins at €1,999 for 256GB, climbs to €2,199 for 512GB and tops out at €2,599 for the 1TB variant.

Clamshell fans get a bump too. The Galaxy Z Flip8 is said to start at €1,299 for 256GB, with the 512GB model listed at €1,499 — increases of about €100 and €180 compared with the Flip7.

Samsung’s smartwatch lineup isn’t immune. The Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 with LTE is tagged at €749, roughly €50 more than the original Ultra. The entry Watch9 with a 40mm case reportedly starts at €409, the 44mm at €459, and adding LTE to the Watch9 carries about a €30 premium.

Why the higher bills? Supply-chain pressure, feature upgrades, and the premium positioning of foldables all play a role — though Samsung will have the final say at Unpacked. For now, consider this a heads-up: upgrade plans may need a larger budget than last year.

Expect official confirmation on July 22. Until then, compare features, check trade-in deals, and decide whether the new hardware is worth the extra euros.
