Asbury Park Press published several on-set images shot around Bell Works in Holmdel, New Jersey — the very structure used to represent the Severance company headquarters. The pictures show crew and production activity inside and around the building, but curiously, none include the show’s principal cast. Instead, the shots give a clear sense that the production is working in areas characters rarely, if ever, accessed on screen.

Ben Stiller, an executive producer, recently confirmed that filming for Season 3 had begun. Now these location photos add context. A production notice taped to an entrance, visible in one frame, lists restricted access from August 24 to 28 and indicates the site’s basketball court will remain closed through September 11. Small details like that tend to fuel big theories. Are we about to see outdoor sequences? A pivotal scene on the court? Or is the crew simply staging equipment and set pieces out of public view?

Speculation is inevitable. The absence of main cast in the released images does not equal absence from the storyline; often shows shoot key coverage before closeups and principal photography. What matters is the emphasis these fotos place on the building itself. Lumen has always felt like more than a backdrop — more like a silent participant in the plot. These new shots suggest that Season 3 may lean even harder into the company as a narrative engine.

There are practical reading points too. Filming in normally restricted wings implies scenes set in previously off-limits floors, or perhaps a widening of the Severance world beyond the familiar office corridors. The presence of exterior setups hints at movement outside the Lumen envelope, breaking the claustrophobic style that defined earlier episodes.
