On 12 October 2026 Nothing began rolling out Nothing OS 5.0, based on Android 17, to the Nothing Phone (3).

Nothing lists two Phone (3) configurations: 256GB with 12GB RAM priced at €510.90 and $699.00, and 512GB with 16GB RAM priced at €838.22 and $799.00.

The company opened a public beta for Nothing OS 5.0 in late August. Today’s release moves the build from beta to a staggered public rollout.

The rollout has started, but it is staggered, so "availability may vary by region and device", Nothing says in its official announcement post.

To manually check for the update on a Nothing Phone (3), go to Settings > System > System update.

Nothing says the update introduces a redesigned launcher, a new Micrographics clock face, deeper personalization options, improved performance and upgraded Essential AI tools, along with the features Google included in Android 17.

Nothing’s schedule for stable releases on other devices begins in early November for the Nothing Phone (4a), Nothing Phone (4a) Pro, Nothing Phone (3a) and Nothing Phone (3a) Pro. Mid-November will see the Nothing Phone (2a) and Nothing Phone (2a) Plus receive the update.

The company expects the Nothing Phone (3a) Lite to get Nothing OS 5.0 in late December, with the Nothing Phone (4b) and the CMF Phone 2 Pro slated for mid-January.

Availability may vary by carrier and region; Nothing attributes rollout timing and regional differences to its official announcement.
