If you were bracing for sticker shock, here's a twist: the Pixel 11 and Pixel 11 Pro may actually arrive cheaper than their Pixel 10 counterparts — but there’s a catch that muddies the headline.

Rumors accelerated after a Google executive signaled price adjustments across the Pixel range ahead of the August 12 reveal. Today a usually reliable source surfaced UK pricing for three Pixel 11 models. On paper, both the Pixel 11 and Pixel 11 Pro undercut last year’s same-storage launches by about £20, but only because Google appears to be standardizing 256GB as the entry point.

Specifically, the leak pins the Pixel 11 at £879 with 256GB. The Pixel 11 Pro supposedly starts at £1,079, also with 256GB. The outlier is the Pixel 11 Pro XL, which would climb to £1,279 — roughly an £80 increase from its predecessor at the same capacity. In short: cheaper labels for two models, yet no 128GB base option to soften the blow for budget-minded buyers.

Storage shifts aside, battery figures leaked alongside the prices. The Pixel 11 is listed with a 4,985 mAh cell, nudging up slightly from the Pixel 10’s 4,970 mAh. The Pixel 11 Pro is said to pack 4,850 mAh, a touch down from the Pixel 10 Pro’s 4,870 mAh. The Pro XL drops to 5,115 mAh versus last year’s 5,200 mAh. Tiny changes. Tiny numbers. But do they matter?

Real-world battery life is more than milliampere math. Efficiency gains from a newer chipset, smarter power management, and display tuning can erase—or amplify—these modest shifts. A phone with 5,000 mAh on paper can still underperform if thermals or software aren’t optimized. Conversely, a clever silicon upgrade can stretch a smaller battery farther than expected.

So where does that leave buyers? If the leaks hold, early adopters might welcome slightly friendlier price tags on the regular Pixel 11 and the Pro, provided they’re comfortable starting at 256GB.
