Yamaha has confirmed a broad refresh for 2027, with 28 returning motorcycles and scooters spread across seven categories. The announcement follows this week’s unveiling of the new MT-125 hyper naked and delivers a season of mostly visual updates rather than wholesale mechanical overhauls.
The MT-125 itself introduced several concrete changes earlier in the week, including a Deltabox frame, a 125cc engine, a redesigned fuel tank shape and a stretched seat. Yamaha has positioned that model as a fresh entrant to the hyper naked family; the larger 2027 announcement reads more like a coordinated roll-out of existing models in updated livery and specification packs.

What’s returning for 2027
Yamaha grouped the 28 models into Adventure, Sport Touring, Sport Heritage, Hyper Naked, Supersport, Off-road and Scooters. In Adventure the two Tenere 700 variants return for early 2027. The standard Tenere 700 gains updated graphics and sleeker styling, while the Tenere 700 Rally will be offered in two new colors, Crystal Graphite and Heritage White, with both due to arrive in the first quarter.

Sport Touring keeps three Tracer variants: the Tracer 9 GT+, Tracer 9 GT & Y-AMT, and Tracer 9 & Y-AMT. Yamaha says these will appear in the latter months of next year, around Q3, featuring new color options and refreshed graphics depending on the model.
The Sport Heritage line adds two XSR900 models. The XSR900 GP receives a new blue finish and is slated for mid-2027, while the XSR900 inspired by Christian Sarron and the 1990s YZF-750R will arrive in the early months of the year. Yamaha notes unspecified engine and chassis modifications for both models.

The hyper naked lineup now includes the newcomer MT-125 alongside the MT-09 SP, MT-09 (and MT-09 Y-AMT), MT-07 (and MT-07 Y-AMT) and MT-03. Yamaha is relying largely on refreshed styling across these models rather than extensive mechanical revision.
On the supersport side Yamaha will add the R1 Race to the range early next year in a new Icon Blue livery. It will join the existing supersport family comprising the R9, R7, R3 and R125.

Off-road receives the most entries, with ten models confirmed for delivery in the third and fourth quarters: YZ450F, YZ250F, YZ250, YZ125, WR450F, WR250F, TT-R125, TT-R110, TT-R50 and PW50. Several of those four-stroke competition machines—the YZ450F, YZ250F, YZ250 and YZ125—will also be offered in a Monster Energy Yamaha Racing Edition; Yamaha has not provided further detail on what that edition includes.

The scooter range includes five Tech MAX variants: XMAX 300 Tech MAX, XMAX 300 Tech MAX+, XMAX 125 Tech MAX, XMAX 125 Tech MAX+ and NMAX 125 Tech MAX. Yamaha says these rely mainly on visual updates and new colorways to keep the models competitive.
Yamaha called the release the beginning of a bold new era, though the company’s 2027 changes are concentrated on cosmetics, colorways and select specification tweaks rather than a wide mechanical refresh. The manufacturer made no mention of pricing changes for the confirmed European models; prospective buyers are advised to contact local dealers for region-specific details. The lineup detailed above is confirmed for the European market, with U.S. availability to be announced at a later date.
Yamaha has also offered little detail about what it will present at the forthcoming Esposizione Internazionale Ciclo Motociclo e Accessori show in Milan in early November. autoevolution will be on site to report new information and photography from the world’s largest motorcycle makers.
