Vauxhall electric range confirmed for UK Electric Car Grant
Vauxhall has secured official eligibility for the UK government’s Electric Car Grant (ECG) across its entire electric vehicle line-up. That means buyers of Vauxhall EVs can now claim a £1,500 reduction off the list price for every model, from the compact Corsa Electric up to the flagship Grandland Electric.
What the grant and offers include
The ECG saving stacks with a number of Vauxhall finance and incentive packages. Key offers include 0% PCP finance across most models (retail customers only), a manufacturer deposit contribution on selected cars and the branded ‘Electric All In’ package that adds further charging support. Together these incentives make Vauxhall’s electric cars more affordable and competitive in the growing EV market.
0% PCP finance details
0% APR PCP is available on the electric variants of the Corsa, Mokka, Frontera (44kWh), Astra and Astra Sports Tourer across the core trim levels (special editions excluded). The offer requires a 20% customer deposit and runs over 48 months. Vauxhall is contributing up to £1,500 towards the deposit on Corsa Electric and Mokka Electric, and £500 on Astra Electric and Astra Sports Tourer Electric when customers take the 0% APR plan.
Electric All In charging support
The Electric All In package adds another £500 to help with charging costs — either towards an Ohme home wallbox or as public charging credit — and includes an offer of 10,000 miles of free home charging when switching to Intelligent Octopus GO. These charging incentives are designed to reduce the total cost of ownership and make the transition to an electric car easier for UK households.
Prices, special editions and range highlights
After the ECG, Vauxhall’s most affordable EV — the Frontera Electric family SUV — now starts from £22,495 OTR. Significantly, Vauxhall was the first to deliver list-price parity between electric and petrol-hybrid versions for the Frontera in the UK; the Frontera Electric Design (44kWh) can cost around £1,760 less than the equivalent petrol-hybrid once grant support is applied.
Vauxhall has also introduced several special-edition models to improve specification and value. The 2025 Corsa Electric YES Edition (136PS, 50kWh) comes with heated front seats, a heated vegan leather steering wheel and 16-inch diamond-cut alloys and starts from £26,005 OTR after the ECG. The Mokka Electric Griffin starts at £31,005 OTR, while the Astra Electric Griffin and Astra Sports Tourer Griffin start at £33,505 and £34,705 OTR respectively, including the grant.
At the top of the range, the Grandland Electric now qualifies for the £1,500 grant, bringing its starting price to £35,455 OTR. The Grandland Electric is equipped with a 73kWh battery pack, a 213hp motor producing 345Nm of torque, and energy-saving features such as a standard-fit heat pump to maximise efficiency. Vauxhall quotes up to 325 miles WLTP on a single charge for this flagship SUV, positioning it strongly among long-range electric SUVs.
Design, performance and technical specifications
Vauxhall’s EV range blends practical design with modern electric powertrains. Battery capacities on offer (notably 44kWh, 50kWh and 73kWh) give buyers flexible choices between urban-focused hatchbacks and family SUVs. Performance varies across the range — from the city-oriented Corsa Electric to the more powerful Grandland Electric — but common highlights include instant electric torque, quiet cabin refinement, and targeted efficiency measures like heat pumps to extend real-world driving range.

Market positioning and comparisons
Vauxhall’s strategy is clear: offer a full-electric alternative for each mainstream model and back it with UK manufacturing credentials — Ellesmere Port is the company’s EV-only volume plant — and financial incentives that appeal to mainstream buyers. By combining ECG eligibility, 0% PCP finance and charging support, Vauxhall aims to position its EVs as accessible, well-specified choices against rivals in the compact hatchback and family SUV segments. For buyers comparing the market, Vauxhall’s mix of price, government grant support and in-house incentives makes the brand a compelling option for those seeking affordable electric cars in the UK.
Supporting the transition to electric
Beyond new car incentives, Vauxhall is promoting charging infrastructure through its Electric Streets campaign to expand on-street charging for the estimated 40% of UK households without a driveway. Combined with local manufacturing and targeted finance deals, Vauxhall’s full-range ECG eligibility aims to lower barriers to EV adoption and ensure drivers can make a practical switch to electric motoring.
