Powertrain, Battery and Charging
Under the hood the Dongfeng Mach Electric Hybrid system combines a 1.5T gasoline engine with an electric motor and a 30.3 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack for a combined system output of 265 kW (355 hp). Official CLTC electric range options are listed at 125 km and 185 km, while independent testing by the China Automotive Technology & Research Center (CATARC) recorded a real-world all-electric range of 248 km and an impressive comprehensive range of 2,245.3 km. CATARC also measured combined fuel consumption at just 2.4 L/100 km. The battery supports 3C fast charging, achieving 20 to 80 percent in approximately 18 minutes.
Driving Aids and Safety
The Aeolus L8 offers 28 claimed Level 2 ADAS functions, supporting assisted driving features such as adaptive cruise and lane-keeping aids. Safety equipment includes six airbags and a suite of electronic aids to enhance active and passive safety.
