Everrati electrifies the 993: what’s new
Everrati, the U.K. specialist known for converting classic automobiles into fully electric restomods, has revealed an EV-swapped version of the 993-generation Porsche 911. The 993—Porsche’s final air-cooled 911 from the 1990s—now receives a modern electric drivetrain in place of its original flat-six. Everrati’s conversion delivers a claimed 760 hp and a battery pack rated for roughly 200 miles of driving per charge, positioning this build as a high-performance electric Porsche 911 for collectors who want modern capability without losing classic character.
Vehicle specifications
Powertrain and range
The headline figures are a 760-horsepower electric motor and a battery configured to provide about 200 miles (around 320 km) per charge. Everrati’s engineering focuses on integrating the electric motor and battery while maintaining the car’s driving balance and weight distribution.

Limited Founders Edition
At Monterey Car Week Everrati presented a Founders Edition of the 993 conversion; just nine of these special builds will be produced. Price details have not been formally announced, but with Everrati’s 964-based electric 911 listed around $450,000, industry expectations place the 993 conversion closer to the $600,000 bracket.
Design and preservation of classic character
Everrati’s conversions are aimed at preserving the aesthetic and tactile appeal of original classics while subtly incorporating modern touches. Externally, the EV 993 retains the iconic silhouette and details of a late ’90s 911, with tasteful cues to its electric heart. Interior treatments follow the same philosophy: classic trim and period-correct accents are combined with discreet modernization to support safety and comfort without erasing the car’s vintage soul.

Performance and driving impressions
Although direct seat time in the 993 was limited at the reveal, Everrati has already demonstrated the concept with its 964-based electric 911. That model uses a 500-hp motor mounted at the rear and locates the battery in the frunk, an arrangement Everrati says preserves near-original weight distribution. During a Car Week test drive the 964 conversion showed brisk acceleration, stable handling, and a composed chassis—attributes the company aims to replicate and amplify in the 993 with its higher-output electric drivetrain.
Market positioning and buyer profile
Everrati targets affluent collectors who appreciate classic design but want modern performance, quieter operation, and zero tailpipe emissions. Many of those buyers already own gas-powered classics and view an EV conversion as a complementary addition rather than a replacement—appealing to garages where a driving-friendly, emission-free classic is desirable for everyday use or special events.

How the 993 compares to other Everrati builds
The 993 joins a growing roster of Everrati projects, which includes the 964 911 conversion, Land Rover Series IIA, Mercedes-Benz W113 “Pagoda,” and the Superformance Ford GT40. Compared with the 964-based EV 911, the 993’s higher power output and limited Founders Edition exclusivity position it as the more performance-focused and collectible offering.
Everrati’s approach to classic car electrification balances authenticity and engineering: the result is a modern electric Porsche 911 that aims to satisfy purists who still want performance, usability, and environmental upgrades without sacrificing the look and feel of the original 993.
