Pixel 10 Pro XL Tops DxOMark Display Rankings Worldwide
Google’s Pixel 10 Pro XL has claimed the top position in DxOMark’s display rankings, edging out competitors such as the Galaxy S25 Ultra and the Honor Magic8 Pro. The result marks a notable win for Google in display quality and everyday usability.
Launched in August 2025 with an MSRP of $1,199, the Pixel 10 Pro XL scored highest in both DxOMark’s global and ultra-premium categories. On paper, its 6.8-inch LTPO OLED panel looks similar to last year’s Pixel 9 Pro XL — matching the 2,992 x 1,334 resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection — but a series of refinements helped it secure the top spot.
Key improvements include a new 480Hz PWM mode designed to reduce perceived flicker, an impressively low 4-nit minimum brightness for comfortable low-light viewing, and improved HDR performance that peaks at 2,200 nits for excellent outdoor legibility. DxOMark also praised Google’s color tuning for being both vivid and accurate, with smooth adaptation to changing lighting conditions. Strong touch responsiveness, gaming performance, and TÜV Eye Comfort certification further boosted its score.

The standard Pixel 10 wasn’t far behind, finishing just one point lower while sharing many of the same strengths. Both models stood out for readability, color accuracy, and motion handling, although the Pro XL maintained a slight advantage in bright outdoor use.
DxOMark did flag a few minor issues — faint color shifts at extreme angles and some visible PWM flicker in particular scenarios — but overall the Pixel 10 Pro XL delivered superior everyday usability compared with the Galaxy S25 Ultra. For now, Google holds the display crown until Apple’s iPhone 17 is evaluated.
