Hisense G7 Ultra: 4K 160Hz Mini LED Gaming Monitor

Hisense has officially revealed the G7 Ultra gaming monitor, opening pre-orders across major Chinese platforms ahead of its September 26 launch. The new display targets serious gamers and content creators who want high dynamic range, precise color, and competitive refresh rates in a single package.

Hisense G7 Ultra Specifications

The G7 Ultra centers on a 27-inch 4K flat Fast IPS panel backed by a Mini LED array, featuring an impressive 1152 local dimming zones. Each zone is managed by an AM driving chip to minimize blooming and maintain consistent contrast. Hisense also applies the same halo-control algorithm used in its premium Mini LED TVs to refine picture quality and reduce artifacts in high-contrast scenes.

Peak brightness reaches 2000 nits and the monitor is HDR1400 certified. A proprietary "Obsidian Screen" layer cuts reflected glare to just 1.8%, improving visibility in bright rooms while keeping images sharp. The panel supports 178-degree STW viewing angles and a native 1000:1 contrast ratio.

For performance flexibility, the G7 Ultra offers dual refresh-rate modes: it can run at 160Hz in native 4K for ultra-detailed visuals or switch to 320Hz in Full HD for maximum frame rates and responsiveness. Adaptive sync support includes FreeSync Premium, and the display delivers a 1ms GTG response time for reduced motion blur in fast-paced games.

  • Color coverage: 99% DCI-P3, 100% Adobe RGB, 99% sRGB, and 85% BT.2020
  • Color accuracy: ΔE < 2; 10-bit color depth via 8-bit + FRC
  • Quantum dot layer to boost color reproduction across lighting conditions

Connectivity is modern and versatile: DisplayPort 2.1, HDMI 2.1, and a USB-C port with 90W power delivery that supports reverse charging and KVM switching so you can control two systems with one keyboard and mouse. Additional I/O includes USB-A, USB-B, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Eye-care features include DC dimming and a dedicated low-blue-light mode to reduce strain during long sessions.

Design-wise, the monitor ships in Moon Shadow Grey and uses a slim three-sided bezel. The ergonomic stand offers tilt, swivel, height, and pivot adjustments and the display is VESA mount compatible for multi-monitor setups.

Hisense equips the G7 Ultra with gamer-focused tools such as customizable crosshairs, on-screen timers, dark detail enhancement, and multiple game-specific picture modes — including a preset tuned for Black Myth: Wukong.

In related product news, Thunderobot recently launched a 26.5-inch 2K gaming monitor using Samsung’s fourth-generation QD-OLED panel with a staggering 500Hz refresh rate. AOC has also introduced a 31.5-inch 4K QD-OLED model that supports 240Hz and includes USB-C with 65W power delivery.
