OnePlus expanded its hardware lineup with a new tablet reveal in China: the OnePlus Pad 2. Launched alongside the OnePlus 15 and Ace 6, this slate packs flagship-level internals, a high-refresh 3K screen and a huge battery — all at a surprisingly competitive price.
Display and performance: 3K 144Hz meets Dimensity 9400+
The Pad 2 sports a 12.1-inch 3K display (3000 × 2120) with a dynamic 144Hz refresh rate and a 540Hz touch sampling rate. Peak brightness reaches 900 nits, and OnePlus says the panel can hit 144fps in supported mobile games — a notable claim for a tablet in this class.
Under the hood sits MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400+, a flagship-tier chipset that delivers impressive benchmark numbers (OnePlus cites an AnTuTu score north of 3.05 million). To keep thermals in check the company fitted an ultra-large vapor chamber cooling solution that spans more than 46,000 mm², helping the Pad 2 balance sustained performance with a thin profile.
Thin, light and built for long sessions
Despite the powertrain, the OnePlus Pad 2 manages a slim 5.99mm chassis and weighs 579 grams, making it comfortable for extended reading, streaming or handheld gaming. The design prioritizes portability without sacrificing performance.

Software features for gamers and students
OnePlus ships the tablet with ColorOS 16, which adds several features tailored to both play and productivity. Gamers get a new Game Camera that can capture ultra-clear Live Photo-style screenshots and replay up to 30 seconds of gameplay. Students and note-takers benefit from handwriting beautification, intelligent content extraction for class notes, plus a panoramic virtual screen mode that lets you run three apps side-by-side with two extra floating windows.
Battery life, charging and day-to-day use
Battery capacity is a standout: 10,420mAh with 67W SuperVOOC charging. OnePlus also highlights system optimizations intended to maintain smooth performance over five years. The Pad 2 supports PC-level WPS Office and multi-window workflows, and users can even install custom fonts for a more personalized experience.
Price, availability and promotions
The OnePlus Pad 2 goes on sale in China starting October 30. Pricing begins at 2,799 yuan (about $380) for the 8GB/256GB model. Higher configurations include 12GB/256GB at 3,099 yuan and 16GB/512GB at 3,599 yuan. Early buyers get a one-year screen protection plan (valued at 249 yuan) for free, and students who pre-order can claim a complimentary stylus worth 399 yuan.
One important note: OnePlus’ tablet naming differs between China and global markets. Internationally the company has already released the OnePlus Pad 3 with Snapdragon silicon, so the China-branded Pad 2 is effectively positioned a generation behind the global naming — but its hardware aligns with premium 2025 tablet expectations.
