Bentley Nocturne: a CGI preview of a focused 2030 sports car
Bentley continues to be active on many fronts — from bespoke Mulliner commissions to Arctic test laps — and now the brand's imagined future has surfaced online. Digital artist Xu Bowen (xubowen1119) has released a striking render of a two-seat Bentley concept called the Nocturne, a design study that hints at what could follow the revived Supersports during the 2030s.
The image arrived without specs, but it speaks clearly in design language. A dramatic, oversized grille suggests either a conventional internal combustion plant or a hybrid system, while slim vertical LED headlights, a sculpted widebody silhouette and a short, rounded cockpit underline a move toward a pure sports-car ethos rather than grand touring luxury.

Why the Nocturne matters
Bentley has historically balanced opulent grand tourers with a desire to realign some models toward driver focus. The recent Supersports comeback — a lightweight, two-seat, rear-wheel-drive Continental tuned around a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 making 657 hp — proved there is appetite for a no-compromise Bentley sports car. The Nocturne CGI builds on that momentum and imagines a separate, purpose-built halo model rather than another Continental derivative.

Highlights suggested by the render:
- Two-seat layout with driver-focused cockpit
- Massive radiator grille, hinting at ICE or hybrid cooling needs
- Slim vertical LEDs and pronounced aerodynamic kit in black
- Widebody stance and muscular fender flares for performance intent
- Large alloy wheels finished in a matching luxury tone
Design and performance cues
The Nocturne’s proportions are compact and aggressive: short overhangs, a low roofline and an emphasized rear haunch give it a pure sports-car silhouette. Black aerodynamic elements contrast with the body color to accentuate splitters, side skirts and a diffuser-like rear treatment. These visual devices read as performance-focused rather than purely decorative — the opposite of many luxury GT extras.

If Bentley were to pursue a production equivalent, expect engineering choices to reflect both brand DNA and future regulatory realities. Potential options include:
- A high-revving internal combustion V8 or V6 hybrid, borrowing tech from the Supersports' V8
- Lightweight materials and carbon-ceramic brakes to keep mass under strict limits
- Rear-wheel-drive architecture to emphasize driver engagement
How Nocturne compares to Supersports and Continental GT
The Supersports returned as a stripped-down, sub-two-ton, two-seater version of the Continental GT with a 657 hp V8, Manthey Racing-developed wheels and an Akrapovic titanium exhaust. The Nocturne render positions itself as even more singular: rather than a Continental offshoot, it looks like a bespoke sports car with its own identity.

Compared to the Continental GT, the Nocturne would likely be:
- More compact and agile
- More track-focused, with bolder aero and suspension tuning
- Offered in much lower volumes, possibly as a limited-run halo model or Mulliner commission
Market positioning and the road to 2030
Why would Bentley pursue something like the Nocturne? A dedicated sports car would strengthen Bentley's halo effect: it showcases engineering prowess, draws attention to the marque in motorsport and enthusiast circles, and provides a platform for experimental powertrains and lightweight construction. But there are hurdles: emissions regulations, electrification roadmaps and the economics of low-volume, high-cost models.

Still, CGI concepts like Xu Bowen's Nocturne play an important role. They let enthusiasts and the brand imagine alternative futures without committing factory resources. They also influence public perception and can seed ideas that inspire real-world design directions.
"The Nocturne render is a glimpse — not a confirmation — but it shows how Bentley's sports-car identity could evolve," says one industry insider. "If demand for a focused, driver-first Bentley persists, a car like this could be a logical halo in the 2030s."
Whether Bentley will bring a Nocturne to production remains speculative. For now, the render is a compelling fantasy: a night-tinted, high-performance Bentley that could succeed the Supersports as the company's enthusiast flagship.

nice render but is a two-seat V8 Bentley realistic by 2030? emissions rules, electrification, budgets... feels more fantasy than roadmap, but i'd love to be wrong tho

Whoa that Nocturne render hits different. Massive grille, angry hips, compact cockpit... Bentley, build it lightweight and raw, not another bloated GT! lol
