What if Redmi decided to shove a flagship inside a value lineup? The latest leak makes that provocative idea hard to dismiss.

Tipster Digital Chat Station has sketched a near-complete spec sheet for the rumored Redmi K100 Pro, and the list reads like a wish list for power users: Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 at the helm, a flat panel that apparently runs at an ultra-fast 185Hz, and a battery capacity that begins with an “8”—reports even pin it at 8,500mAh. Short battery anxiety. Long runtime.

Charging won’t be slow either. Wired speeds are said to stay at 100W, while wireless charging reportedly jumps to 50W — a first for a vanilla model in the K-series. That pairing suggests Redmi wants this phone to be as practical as it is ambitious: marathon battery life, with quick top-ups when you need them.

Camera hardware is where the rumor really raises eyebrows. A 200-megapixel main sensor is on the cards, backed by a 50MP telephoto that reportedly handles macro duties too. Big sensor, lots of pixels, and a dedicated telephoto — it’s a combo aimed at mobile photographers who don’t want to compromise.

Build quality sounds premium. The device is tipped to have a glass back and a metal frame, with the design choice confirmed by the leaker in comments. Expect symmetrical dual speakers, a 3D ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor, and water-and-dust protection with both IP68 and IP69 ratings — not typical for a phone positioned under the Redmi badge.

If this leak is accurate, Redmi is bringing flagship-grade hardware—huge battery, top-tier SoC, and a 200MP sensor—to the K-series, but likely at a noticeably higher price point.

Price is the wrinkle. Earlier reports place the starting tag around 4,000 yuan (roughly $585), well above the Redmi K90’s launch price of about CNY 2,599. In other words: this could be a premium pivot for Redmi rather than a straight successor in the bargain camp.

Timing-wise, the K100 series is expected to debut in China around September or October 2026, with a global variant likely arriving later — possibly under a different name, as has happened before. Until Xiaomi opens the curtains, the specs remain unofficial, but if the leaks line up, the K100 Pro could rewrite expectations for what a mid-brand handset can offer.
