G-Power’s brutal M5 CS: near 200 mph from a tuned super sedan
G-Power has once again pushed BMW’s M5 CS into extreme territory. The German tuner posted photos and figures on its Instagram feed showing a heavily upgraded M5 CS that, depending on the chosen package, can deliver anything from a modest power bump to a jaw-dropping 887 hp and a top speed north of 200 mph.
The M5 CS has always been BMW’s polished business-class super sedan — a rare blend of four-door practicality and supercar performance. With G-Power’s catalog, buyers can tailor the car’s output and top speed to match their appetite for speed, from an affordable entry-level tune up to the flagship G5M Hurricane RR conversion.

Performance packages and headline numbers
G-Power offers several tuning stages for the twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 in the M5 CS. Highlights include:
- GP-690: A budget-friendly upgrade that raises output to roughly 690 hp and 627 lb-ft (850 Nm) of torque — an accessible first step.
- GP-780: Delivers about 780 metric horsepower (769 bhp / 574 kW) and roughly 701 lb-ft (950 Nm), with a claimed top speed of 320 km/h (199 mph). This package is positioned as the sweet spot for performance without breaking the bank.
- GP-820: Bumps peak power to 820 ps (roughly 808 bhp / 603 kW) and 738 lb-ft (1,100 Nm) of torque for drivers chasing even faster acceleration and higher sustained speeds.
- G5M Hurricane RR: The flagship conversion pushes the V8 to a staggering 887 hp (900 ps / 662 kW) and about 774 lb-ft (1,050 Nm). That power increase is matched by an electronic top-speed unlock to 330 km/h (205 mph) and additional hardware to support the extra performance.

Pricing and what you get
G-Power’s packages are tiered so buyers can choose how far they want to go. As an illustration of range: the entry-level tune can be had for a few thousand euros, while the GP-780 and GP-820 mid-tier bundles sit in the tens of thousands. The full Hurricane RR conversion is a premium offering, costing six figures in euros and including extensive engine and drivetrain support.
These upgrades are more than just ECU maps: higher stages often include upgraded intercoolers, piping, remapped engine management, and other components meant to keep the big V8 reliable under sustained load.
How it compares to the standard M5 CS and the new M5
Factory M5 CS figures are already impressive: around 626 bhp (635 ps / 467 kW), 553 lb-ft (750 Nm) and a 0–62 mph time near 2.9 seconds. That places the CS in supercar acceleration territory despite its four-door layout and emphasis on luxury.
However, the latest G9X-generation M5 (G90 sedan / G99 touring) has drawn criticism for being heavier and less incisive than its predecessor. That’s part of why tuners like G-Power still find demand — many enthusiasts want the older CS’s character amplified rather than replaced.

Why buyers choose tuning over a new model
- Personalization: Buyers can tailor power, sound, and handling to their preferences.
- Value: Upgrades can extract more performance from a car that’s already proven rather than buying a new vehicle.
- Character: For some drivers, the F90-era V8’s feel and sound are worth preserving and enhancing.
G-Power’s line-up gives M5 CS owners flexible options: small, cost-effective upgrades for everyday usability, or full-blown conversions that transform the sedan into a track-capable monster.
Whether you care about headlines like 887 hp and 205 mph or prefer a subtler performance boost, G-Power’s M5 CS packages show there’s still a strong market for business-class super sedans with thoroughbred performance.
