Virtual Audi Concept S imagines longtail ICE supercar

Digital artist uygarspots has produced an unofficial Audi Concept S, a CGI longtail design that blends Audi's 'The Radical Next' influence with the 2000 Rosemeyer spirit, presented as ICE or hybrid in near-2030s styling.

Turkish digital designer Uygar, known on social media as uygarspots, has released an unofficial virtual project called Audi Concept S that reinterprets Audi's recent design direction and the longtail spirit of the 2000 Rosemeyer concept for a near 2030s ICE or hybrid supercar. The images, presented as a gallery of 12 photos credited to uygarspots on Instagram, are purely hypothetical and not an Audi product.

Context and influence

The Concept S arrives amid a busy period at Audi. The manufacturer recently revealed the Audi A6 Allroad, the Nuvolari special edition supercar, the next generation Q7 crossover SUV aimed at families, and the first-ever Q9 flagship CUV. Rumors continue about potential late-year reveals such as an Audi RS6 Avant and sedan high-performance models, and possible RS Q5 SUV and Sportback variants.

Audi has also publicized several technology and investment initiatives. The company says it is developing cars that can run Spotify without a smartphone, is training humanoid robots for selected factory tasks, and is highlighting the Q9’s curved digital OLED panel described by Audi as being 'as thin as human hair.' Audi has announced a planned investment of $4 billion to build a new factory in Georgia, United States, to produce large SUVs and create about 4,500 jobs, with manufacturing expected to start in the early 2030s.

Designer Massimo Frascella, Audi AG’s design director, has outlined a design philosophy called 'The Radical Next.' Frascella, who has said he loves 'design, watches, travel, and food,' sees the Audi Concept C as a guiding example. Audi translated that concept into limited-series production as the Nuvolari plug-in hybrid supercar, a move that appears to have informed Uygar’s unofficial project.

Design details and limitations

The virtual Audi Concept S uses a pronounced wedge geometry and a straight, vertical-cut front 'face' with tall side intakes. The cockpit is rendered as a visor-style canopy with wraparound glass that eliminates visible front A-pillars for stylistic effect. Louvers at the rear suggest a mid-engine layout, and the large rear diffuser with twin tall exhaust outlets signals an internal combustion engine or hybrid powertrain rather than a purely electric setup. These visual cues are designer choices in the CGI renderings; they do not constitute technical specifications from Audi.

Uygar’s project links Audi’s stated design direction and the Rosemeyer longtail aesthetic, applying sharper, geometric surfaces instead of the slim, rounded forms of the earlier concept. The work is an imaginative exercise in virtual automotive design and remains unofficial; Audi has not announced a production vehicle called Concept S.
