Back in August, Ford revealed its next electric truck will be called Fathom and listed a $28,350 starting price. During the companys third quarter earnings call Andrew Frick, president of Ford Blue and Model e, said, "The starting price of $28,350 is just that," and added that pricing "will have a range that goes to the high $30,000 range. And we'll have a couple of different offerings within that."
Pricing will top out in the high $30,000s, keeping even higher Fathom trims below $40,000 before subscriptions.

Subscriptions as the key upsell
Ford CEO Jim Farley said customers who spend more on the "nicer" trims care about the digital experience, calling the digital suite, including the built-in Apple Maps, "really a game changer for any EV, let alone at this price." Farley described that as "the most exciting upsell opportunity", and said it is "really the long-term subscription and digital experience for the customer."
Ford has not detailed which features will require a monthly fee. The Fathom will be a midsize electric pickup and the first model built on Fords new Universal EV Platform.
Pre-orders are set to open in early 2027, with first deliveries planned for late 2027.
