GFG Style has revealed the Peralta D, a one-off 2+2 Gran Turismo commissioned by Mexican collector Carlos Peralta and unveiled on October 24, 2026, at the Pastejé Automotive Invitational in Mexico. The car is notable for a lower body hammered entirely from pure copper and a glass upper canopy finished to echo the metal’s warm tone. The commission celebrates Peralta’s daughters, and the project was overseen at every stage by Fabrizio Giugiaro.

Design and construction
The Peralta D is a monolithic coupe with a pronounced waistline that separates the hand-beaten copper lower shell from the mirrored-glass canopy. The copper panels are formed by traditional metalworking techniques and are supported by a rigid carbon-fiber structure mounted to a lightweight aluminum chassis. Exposed carbon-fiber components are intentionally hidden to preserve the car’s continuous surfaces; visible exterior details include anthracite black wheels with a 1970s-inspired geometric pattern and diamond-shaped grilles machined from laser-cut aluminum that house the lamps in a recessed, shadowed arrangement.

Side access departs from conventional doors. The cabin is entered through a forward-lifting dome that retains independent side windows, while a rear gull-wing opening—engineered without supporting structural pillars—provides access to the back seats. The layout is described as 2+2, meaning two primary front seats and two smaller rear seats suitable for occasional use.

Platform, interior and withheld details
Mechanically, the Peralta D is built on the Maserati GranTurismo platform and uses Maserati mechanical components. GFG Style has kept exact exterior dimensions, curb weight and engine output private for this bespoke commission. The presence of an integrated fuel cap in the copper panels indicates an internal combustion powertrain rather than full electrification.

The interior continues the exterior’s minimalist, monolithic theme. Seats are trimmed in metallic-effect leather with perforated Alcantara inserts and stitched using copper thread. The dashboard is symmetrical, with a digital instrument cluster for the driver and a passenger-side makeup station that includes compartments and a monitor that serves as an illuminated mirror. A retractable refrigerator in the rear of the center console is sized to hold a bottle of champagne and four custom copper drinking glasses.

GFG Style, founded in 2015 in Moncalieri near Turin by Giorgetto and Fabrizio Giugiaro, produced the Peralta D as a bespoke collaboration with Carlos Peralta following their earlier Peralta S commission. The firm credits decades of automotive design and prototype work by the Giugiaros in creating the project; specific performance figures and detailed production data remain those of the private client and builder.
