Mazda has launched the 2027 CX-90 in the United States, adding revised rear suspension components, four new exterior colors, and seating changes that let the 3.3 Turbo Premium Sport and 3.3 Turbo S Premium Sport be ordered as two-row models, effectively replacing the CX-70 in the U.S.
The mechanical updates include new rear suspension bushings and a revised rear suspension crossmember, which Mazda says improve comfort on rough surfaces.

Four new exterior paint options are Zircon Sand Metallic, Melting Copper Metallic, Navy Blue Mica, and Aero Grey Metallic.
The 2027 CX-90 3.3 Turbo Select starts at $39,700, $400 higher than the equivalent 2026 grade. Standard equipment includes a 7-inch TFT display, a 10.25-inch infotainment system, an eight-speaker audio system, smartphone integration, push-button start, advanced keyless entry, three-zone automatic climate control, LED exterior lights, and 19-inch wheels.

Power for the non-electrified models comes from a 3.3-liter turbocharged inline-six with 48-volt mild-hybrid assistance, producing 280 hp (284 ps/209 kW) and 332 lb-ft (450 Nm) of torque on 87-octane fuel. An eight-speed automatic transmits drive to Mazda’s i-Activ all-wheel drive system. Standard driver aids include radar-guided cruise control with stop-and-go, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, lane departure warning, and driver attention alert.

The 3.3 Turbo Preferred starts at $43,850, also $400 over the prior model year, and adds 21-inch wheels, piano black exterior accents, roof rails, heated and ventilated front seats, heated second-row seating, an eight-way power driver seat with power lumbar and memory, an eight-way power front passenger seat, a heated steering wheel, and a 12.3-inch infotainment screen.
The Premium Sport previously started at $47,480 for 2026. For 2027 it can be ordered from $46,880 as a two-row or $48,080 with three rows, and is available with second-row captain’s chairs. It features different 21-inch wheels, exterior tweaks, piano black door mirror head covers, piano black roof rails, and standard Alexa Built-In.
The 3.3 Turbo Premium Plus carries an MSRP of $50,670, up from $50,270 last year. It adds more advanced headlights, Mazda Online Navigation with over-the-air updates, black or white Nappa leather upholstery, foot lamp illumination, a 150-watt cargo-area outlet, a 360-degree view monitor with see-through and trailer hitch views, and front cross traffic alert.

The CX-90 PHEV Preferred uses a 2.5-liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder with a 17.8 kWh battery pack for a combined output of 323 hp (327 ps/240 kW) and 369 lb-ft (500 Nm). It is priced from $50,695, unchanged from the prior year, and offers an electric driving range of up to 27 miles (43 km). The PHEV includes Sport, Off-Road, and EV drive modes, 21-inch wheels, a power sunroof, power tailgate, heated side mirrors, full LED lighting, and rain-sensing wipers.
Standard PHEV interior items listed for the line include ventilated front seats, two-position driver memory, three-zone climate control, heated steering wheel, a 12.3-inch TFT LCD instrument panel, a 12.3-inch infotainment screen, wireless charging pads, additional USB-C ports, wireless smartphone integration, and front and rear parking sensors.

The PHEV Premium Sport starts at $55,500, unchanged, and adds auto-dimming, power-folding side mirrors, a head-up display, a frameless auto-dimming rearview mirror with HomeLink, and a Bose sound system. The PHEV Premium Plus remains $58,700 and brings unique 21-inch wheels, exterior refinements, adaptive front lights, heated side mirrors with memory and tilt-down in reverse, Mazda Online Navigation, and Nappa leather.
The 2027 CX-90 Turbo S Premium Sport uses Mazda’s e-Skyactiv G 3.3-liter inline-six turbo rated at 340 hp (345 ps/254 kW) and 369 lb-ft (488 Nm) of torque and starts at $53,540. It includes Sport, Off-Road, and Towing modes, a blackout exterior theme, heated and ventilated seats, a heated steering wheel, and black or white Nappa leather. The 3.3 Turbo S Premium Plus starts at $57,970.

Whoa, so CX-90 replaces the CX-70 in the US? Loving the 2-row Turbo S option, new colors look wild. Still $53k+ for Turbo S… gonna think twice, but Mazda keeps tempting me
