Honda has tweaked the Vezel for 2027 in Japan, introducing a dealer‑installed Black Sport Style package, darker headlamp interiors and a handful of cabin upgrades to sharpen the crossover's look and appeal. The changes are focused and cosmetic, and they arrive as Honda seeks to keep the model fresh against tightening competition.

The Vezel keeps the overall shape introduced with the current generation, but designers have darkened the headlamp housings to give the front end a firmer expression. On e:HEV Z and Play trims, Honda has also switched the protective plastic cladding on the bumpers and wheel arches to body color for a cleaner presentation.

The new Black Sport Style package replaces earlier dealer packages such as Urban, Sport and Active. Fitted at dealers, it includes a fully black grille with a revised pattern, black chrome trim on front and rear bumper flaps, black exterior mirrors, a black rear spoiler and new 18-inch machined alloy wheels. Honda will offer a sharper RS trim with firmer suspension and a more aggressive look, but that version is scheduled for introduction late this year. Until then Japanese buyers can choose the gasoline G trim or hybrid e:HEV X, e:HEV Z and Play configurations.

Interior, powertrains and pricing

Inside, the Vezel retains the same instrument and infotainment layout: a 7-inch digital instrument display and a 9-inch touchscreen on the dash. Honda has, however, added comfort features across the range. All trims now come standard with rear air vents and two USB-C charging ports. The e:HEV X gains heated front seats, while the Play flagship adds a dual-pane panoramic roof, a 360-degree camera system and a 10-speaker audio setup.

Under the skin there are no mechanical changes. Honda continues to offer the Vezel with a 1.5-liter gasoline engine and a 1.5-liter e:HEV hybrid system. The gasoline model is sold only with all-wheel drive and a CVT, while the e:HEV hybrid is available in front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive variants.

Honda has held the starting price for the gasoline G all-wheel-drive at 2,777,500 yen (about 17,700 USD) and lists the fully equipped e:HEV Z Play with all-wheel drive at 3,885,200 yen (about 24,700 USD). It is not yet clear whether Honda will apply these 2027 updates to the international HR-V sold in European and other Asian markets.
