Ford has revealed the 2027 Territory Platinum, a top-trim variant that brings measurable cabin refinement and upgraded tech to its popular midsize SUV. Aimed squarely at buyers in emerging markets, the Platinum adds premium touches that push the Territory closer to luxury rivals — yet the model remains absent from North America, Western Europe and Australia.

The Ford Territory is sold across the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Latin America and Africa. For customers in those regions, the 2027 Territory Platinum represents the new flagship, but U.S. buyers and many European customers will have to look elsewhere if they want these particular upgrades.

Interior refinement and comfort upgrades

Ford’s focus with the Platinum is clear: elevate the cabin experience without changing the mechanicals. The seats get diamond-quilted leather with contrasting stitching, while frequently touched surfaces receive softer, higher-quality materials. The company has also added an integrated Active Noise Cancellation system to reduce road and wind noise. Audio is upgraded to a ten-speaker system with a high-output amplifier to deliver more immersive surround sound for longer family trips.

Powertrain and driving assists

Ford has left the powertrain lineup untouched for 2027. That means two familiar options:

• 1.5-liter hybrid: about 140 hp (142 PS) and 166 lb-ft (225 Nm) of torque — the efficient choice for daily driving and city use.
• 1.8-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder: roughly 188 hp (191 PS) and 236 lb-ft (320 Nm) of torque — the sportier option for those who want stronger midrange performance.

On the safety and convenience front, the Territory Platinum receives upgraded advanced driver-assist features. Camera- and radar-based systems now include Traffic Jam Assist and Cruise Assist, which help keep the SUV centered in its lane while managing speed and maintaining safe following distance in congested traffic.

Positioned as a premium trim of an already practical family SUV, the Territory Platinum looks to attract buyers who want near-luxury touches without stepping up to an entirely different brand or platform.
