Poco X8 and X8 Power Prices Leak Ahead of India Launch

Imagine a phone that simply refuses to die. Poco has teased two such slabs of endurance — the X8 and the X8 Power — and now the price whispers have started to leak ahead of the brand's September 4 India launch.

Poco has already confirmed the headline numbers: the X8 Power will carry a massive 10,000 mAh battery, while the X8 will house a 9,000 mAh cell. That’s battery life taken to the extreme. But how much will you pay for it? A fresh leak pins the Poco X8 in the INR 28,000–30,000 range (roughly $292–$313), with the X8 Power nudging about INR 35,000 (around $365). Not bad, if these figures hold.

There’s one more twist: both phones appear to be close cousins of the Redmi Note 17 series. The rumor mill claims the X8 is essentially a rebranded Redmi Note 17 Pro, while the X8 Power mirrors the Note 17 Pro Max with only minor tweaks. Rebranding is common. Familiar parts, new badges.

Specs leaked earlier sketch out two machines that aim to balance endurance and sensible mid-range performance. The X8 is said to sport a 6.83-inch AMOLED panel with an eye-popping 3,500-nit peak brightness and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on top — a display that should shine outdoors. Under the hood sits a Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chipset, a 50MP main camera with OIS, a 16MP front camera, and 67W wired charging to replenish that 9,000 mAh battery.

The X8 Power trades a few imaging and charging bits for that larger cell. Expect an added 8MP ultrawide camera, a bump to a 32MP selfie shooter, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 SoC, and support for 100W wired charging, while other core hardware remains largely unchanged between the two.
