Oppo confirms Find X10 Pro Max with Dimensity 9600 Pro

Oppo confirmed the Find X10 Pro Max will launch globally and will be one of the first phones to ship with MediaTek's Dimensity 9600 Pro.

The phone has not been fully unveiled; Oppo will unveil it in China on September 22 and hold a separate global launch next month.

The Pro Max appears on Oppo's China store alongside the Find X10 and Find X10 E. Oppo has not confirmed whether all three models will be available globally or whether configurations will match.

The Pro Max is listed in 12GB/256GB, 12GB/512GB, 16GB/512GB and 16GB/1TB configurations, with prices to be announced.

MediaTek's Dimensity 9600 Pro is the company's first 2nm chip (TSMC N2P). MediaTek says the CPU is up to 15% faster in multi-core tests and the GPU up to 27% faster; the new NPU doubles INT4 performance versus the Dimensity 9500 NPU.

MediaTek also says the CPU is up to 61% more power efficient in multi-core workloads. The CPU features two Arm C2-Ultra cores running at up to 4.55 GHz, up from a single C1-Ultra core on the 9500.

Oppo worked with MediaTek to develop the Laminar Flow Engine, which will debut on the Find X10 Pro Max. Oppo says it achieves a better balance between system responsiveness and lower power usage by "restructuring the underlying rendering architecture and coordinating it more closely with system scheduling".

Oppo lists three 200MP cameras: a main sensor with an f/1.5 lens and 17 EV dynamic range, a periscope with an f/2.1 lens and CIPA 7.5 stabilization, and a 124° f/2.2 ultra-wide. The phone will use an 8,000 mAh Si/C battery and a large display with 0.99 mm bezels, down from 1.15 mm on the Find X9 and 1.45 mm on the Find X8.

Prices and exact global availability remain to be announced.
