Hyundai will stage the global debut of the 2027 Tucson in Long Island City, New York, on Thursday, October 1, at 5:15 p.m. ET. The event will be streamed live on the HyundaiWorldwide YouTube channel, bringing the North American specification of the fifth generation Tucson to an international audience.
The model shown in New York follows an earlier reveal in South Korea in August 2026 and a dedicated domestic event in September 2026 that displayed the regular Tucson and a Tucson XRT variant. Hyundai says the Long Island City presentation will focus on the North American car, with technical details and specifications expected to be disclosed for this market.

Exterior and interior changes introduced with the all-new Tucson are already familiar from the Korean Domestic Market reveal. Hyundai has significantly revised the body and enlarged overall dimensions, overhauled the cabin and fitted a new Pleos Connect infotainment system to run the cockpit. The company also highlights an enhanced hybrid powertrain as part of the redesign; Hyundai has not signalled major departures between the KDM model and the North American specification.

The world premiere comes amid a busy fall for volume manufacturers. Volkswagen will show a mid-cycle refresh of the ID.4, which the company is introducing under the new name ID. Tiguan in early October, while BMW is preparing a redesigned 3 Series Neue Klasse for imminent public display. Hyundai’s New York event will place the Tucson in that same autumn spotlight.

Regional rollouts and motor show plans
Hyundai has already announced plans for "major premieres" at the 2026 Paris Motor Show, and industry observers expect the all-new Tucson to be among the models on the roster alongside a refreshed Bayon crossover. The company has published only a teaser image of a 2027 Tucson in the rain, leaving styling details largely as shown in Korea but holding back final market-specific specifications until launch events.

The New York conference will include Hyundai Motor Company President and CEO, José Muñoz; Executive Vice President and Head of Hyundai and Genesis Global Design, SangYup Lee; Senior Vice President and Head of Vehicle Development Tech. Unit 2, Jin Hwan Jung; and Senior Vice President and Head of Product Experience at 42dot, Eric Wood. The livestream on HyundaiWorldwide YouTube will allow global audiences to follow those presentations and the official North American specification reveal.
