Apple has begun selling parts and tools for the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max through its Self Service Repair Store after expanding partnerships with American suppliers for the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone Duo. The company also added parts for Mac models that use Apple silicon, specifically Mac Studio configurations with the M5 Max and M5 Ultra chips and Mac mini configurations with the M6 and M5 Pro chips.

iPhone parts, tools and prices

For the two new iPhones Apple lists replacement back glass, batteries, bottom and top speakers, cameras, displays, enclosures, front cameras, logic boards (the phone's main circuit board), main microphones, SIM trays and Taptic Engines (the haptic feedback motor), among other components. Each parts category also shows the tools and supplies needed for the repair, including adhesive cutters, suction cups, nylon probes, adhesive removal tools, torque drivers and screws; those tools and supplies are available to buy separately or to rent.

The replacement camera is priced at $249, the same as for the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max, even though the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max include a variable aperture system. If you return your original camera, Apple applies a $59.76 credit, reducing the effective cost to $189.24. New displays are listed at $329 for the iPhone 18 Pro and $379 for the iPhone 18 Pro Max; return credits for displays are $16.45 for the Pro and $18.95 for the Pro Max. Batteries are $129 for both models with a return credit of $61.92, lowering the net price to $67.08, although the Pro Max battery is marked as "Coming Soon." The back glass is $159 for both models (net $120.84 after credit), and the front camera is $199 (net $151.24 after credit). A seven-day rental of the tool kit costs $49.

Mac Studio and Mac mini parts

The Mac Studio listings cover replacement parts for Thunderbolt and USB-C ports, fans, speakers, SSD modules, logic boards and power supplies, among others. The Mac mini listings are shorter but include fans, speakers, logic boards and power supplies. The available parts correspond to Mac Studio models using the M5 Max and M5 Ultra chips and Mac mini models using the M6 and M5 Pro chips.

Apple launched its Self Service Repair program in 2022. The program lets people in eligible regions buy replacement parts and either buy or rent the tools required to repair supported devices themselves, and Apple provides official repair manuals with step-by-step instructions for each serviceable part.
