Tipster Digital Chat Station says Honor's upcoming 700 series will use Qualcomm Snapdragon 8-series chips: the standard Honor 700 will use the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 and the Honor 700 Pro will use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5.
Honor is expected to unveil the Honor 700 series in China this month.
Digital Chat Station described the configuration as dual 8-chip technology, with both phones on Snapdragon 8-series platforms and the Pro receiving the higher-end 8 Gen 5.
The processors could place Honor ahead of some rivals. Leaks suggest the standard Oppo Reno 17 will use the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 and the Reno 17 Pro may use the Dimensity 8500 Super. The Vivo S70 is said to use the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4.
Oppo has confirmed a November debut for the Reno 17 series. The Vivo S70 is also expected to arrive this month.
Earlier leaks point to a 6.57-inch 1.5K OLED main display and a 1.72-inch secondary screen on the back.
The camera setup reportedly includes a 200-megapixel main sensor, with the Pro possibly adding a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera. Both phones are also said to support a 200mm telephoto extender.
The series could pack batteries rated at around 9,000mAh. The Pro is reported to support 50W wireless charging, and all three models have cleared 3C certification with up to 80W wired charging.
These specifications are based on leaks and prior reports; Honor has not confirmed the processor, camera, display, battery, or charging details.
