Tipster Lanzuk reports Samsung's 2027 Galaxy Z Fold9 and Z Fold9 Ultra will regain an under-display front camera but largely keep their predecessors' rear cameras: Ultra 200MP + 50MP + "maintain 3x optical zoom"; standard stays dual 50MP.

Tipster Lanzuk says Samsung will return an under-display front camera on the 2027 Galaxy Z Fold9 models but retain the same rear-camera hardware as their predecessors.

According to Lanzuk, the Galaxy Z Fold9 Ultra will use a 200MP main sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide and will "maintain 3x optical zoom". The report included no megapixel count for the telephoto.

Lanzuk contrasted that telephoto detail with the current 10MP module and noted the Galaxy S27 Pro uses a 3x 12MP camera, suggesting a higher-resolution 3x module is unlikely.

For the standard Galaxy Z Fold9, Lanzuk said "just the same," indicating a 50MP main and a 50MP ultra-wide. He added the wide model likely lacks internal room for a dedicated telephoto module.

Lanzuk did not rule out sensor swaps. He said Samsung could replace the 200MP 1/1.3-inch ISOCELL HP2 used in the Z Fold7 and Z Fold8 Ultra or the 50MP 1/1.56-inch ISOCELL GN3 in the Z Fold8 main camera, but he called such changes very unlikely, noting Samsung has used the HP2 on all its 200MP phones since the Galaxy S23 Ultra (the S23 Ultra was its first).

Lanzuk has a track record; in July he reported the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra would receive the S26 Ultra's video LUT feature, and the device later gained that feature.
