Vivo confirms X300 flagship launch for October 13

Vivo has scheduled a global reveal for the new X300 series on October 13 at 7 PM China time. Touted as the companys annual imaging flagship, early teasers emphasize camera innovation and a refreshed industrial design that aims to balance minimalism with premium materials.

Design: minimalist camera island and sculpted glass

This year Vivo introduces a minimalist circular camera module paired with what it calls a suspended water droplet and cold-sculpted glass finish. The aesthetic is intended to reduce visual clutter while delivering a tactile, premium feel — a move that follows recent trends toward cleaner smartphone backs without compromising on optical hardware.

Camera systems: 200MP attention to detail

Cameras are at the center of the X300 story. Vivo product VP Huang Tao confirmed the standard X300 will include a 200MP Zeiss super primary camera. The X300 Pro goes further with an 85mm Zeiss 200MP APO super telephoto lens, engineered for long-range detail.

Both models support advanced optical stabilization, rated at CIPA 4.5 and CIPA 5.5 respectively, which positions them among the most stable smartphone shooters. Optical features include Zeiss T coating and the deep-blue absorption glass previously used on the X200 Ultra.

For video creators, the X300 Pro introduces several firsts: the device will support what Vivo calls the worlds first 4K 60fps portrait video, plus dual-focus 4K 120fps Dolby Vision HDR and 4K 120fps 10-bit Log recording for high-dynamic-range workflows.

Performance, display and system

Under the hood the series debuts MediaTeks Dimensity 9500, marking Vivo as an early adopter of the chip. Imaging is further supported by the Blueprint V3+ imaging processor and the latest OriginOS 6 software. Vivo also highlights cross-device connectivity with the Apple ecosystem and a BOE Q10 Plus display offering a 1 nit minimum brightness for HDR scenes.

Key expected specs at a glance:

  • 200MP Zeiss primary camera (standard)
  • 85mm 200MP Zeiss APO telephoto (Pro)
  • Optical stabilization CIPA 4.5 / 5.5
  • MediaTek Dimensity 9500
  • Blueprint V3+ imaging chip
  • BOE Q10 Plus display
  • Dual UFS 4.1 lanes, ultrasonic fingerprint 2.0
  • Sony LYT828 and LYT602 sensors (reported)

Vivo will also unveil wearable and audio products at the event, including Watch GT 2, TWS 5 earbuds, and the Vivo Pad 5e. The announcement positions the X300 family as a camera-first flagship contender, aimed at photographers and video creators seeking high-resolution capture and advanced stabilization in a modern design.
