Realme has ramped up the leaks ahead of its Oct. 21 launch in China, and a new poster confirms a headline spec for the upcoming GT 8 Pro: a much larger battery plus faster charging options. Here’s what the teaser reveals and which flagship features you can expect.
Bigger battery, wired and wireless speed
Last year’s GT 7 Pro shipped with a 6,500mAh cell and 120W wired charging but lacked wireless charging. The GT 8 Pro flips that script. Realme’s poster confirms a 7,000mAh battery, support for 120W wired charging and, importantly, 50W wireless charging. The phone also includes bypass charging, and the company claims a 0–50% top-up in roughly 15 minutes with the 120W charger.
Despite the larger cell, Realme managed to slim the chassis: the GT 8 Pro measures about 8.20mm thick, a hair thinner than last year’s 8.5mm design. Those who worry about heft will also note the reported weight range of 209–214 grams.
Display and software: smooth, sharp and modern
Reports say the GT 8 Pro will use a 6.78-inch flat OLED panel with 2K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate, paired with an under-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. The software is expected to be Realme UI 7 running on Android 16, keeping the experience current with flagship-level features and animations.

Camera ambitions: Ricoh-certified main and a 200MP shooter
Realme has pushed camera credentials too. The GT 8 Pro is said to carry a Ricoh-certified 1/1.56-inch 50MP main sensor with OIS, accompanied by a 50MP ultra-wide and a 200MP camera that may use Samsung’s HP5 sensor. Video specs are impressive on paper as well: 4K recording at 120fps with Dolby Vision support.
One playful hardware detail: the handset will offer a swappable camera module so users can choose different aesthetic layouts — square, round, or a ‘robot’ configuration — a neat twist for personalization.
Performance, memory and graphics
Under the hood, the GT 8 Pro is expected to run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 platform and include Realme’s R1 chip to boost graphics performance. Memory options could go up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage, positioning the phone squarely in flagship territory for gamers and power users.
With the Oct. 21 announcement just around the corner, the poster gives a clear preview: bigger battery, faster wired and wireless charging, and a camera system built to impress. We’ll have full specs, pricing and availability when Realme unveils the GT 8 series in China.
