3 Minutes
Realme’s GT8 Pro mixes playful customization with serious imaging hardware: snap-on camera islands you can swap or 3D-print yourself, a Ricoh-tuned 50MP main sensor, and flagship performance under the hood.
Design you can change in minutes
Imagine giving your phone a new personality in under a minute. The GT8 Pro introduces interchangeable camera housings that snap into place with magnets and lock down with two Torx screws. Realme will sell official designs—square, round, robot-themed—and has shared a 3mf file for anyone who wants to 3D-print their own covers. The brand even launched a MakerWorld design contest to crowdsource the most creative camera islands.

Ricoh collaboration: photography with a twist
More than a badge, the Realme x Ricoh partnership brings camera software tuning and signature looks to the GT8 Pro. The Ricoh-tuned 50MP main camera uses a 1/1.56-inch sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and supports Ricoh GR full-frame equivalent focal lengths of 28mm and 40mm. You also get five Ricoh GR-inspired tones—Positive, Negative, High-contrast Black & White, Standard, and Monochrome—for distinct color rendering straight out of the camera.
Zoom and wide-angle that compete
On paper the zoom system is seriously capable: a 200MP periscope (65mm equivalent) offers 3x optical zoom and up to 12x lossless reach. It uses Samsung’s ISOCELL HP5 1/1.56" sensor, an f/2.6 aperture and dual-axis OIS. The third lens is a 50MP ultrawide (16mm equivalent, f/2.0, 116° field of view). Video recording goes up to 8K at 30 fps.

Flagship performance and a blindingly bright screen
Power comes from the Snapdragon Elite Gen 5 Extreme Edition, paired with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB UFS 4.1 storage. Realme also added its custom R1 graphics chip for heavier gaming loads. The AMOLED display hits QHD+ (3,136×1,440) with a 144Hz refresh rate and colossal brightness figures—2,000 nits typical and local peaks up to 4,000 nits—making it one of the brightest panels on any phone.

Battery, charging and durability
The GT8 Pro uses a combined 7,000mAh battery split across two Si/C cells, supporting 120W wired charging and 50W wireless charging for quick top-ups. Despite the large capacity, Realme kept the phone slim at 8.2mm. Durability is solid too: IP66, IP68 and IP69 ratings are listed, and the phone boots Realme UI 7 based on Android 16.
Price, colors and availability
The phone arrives in White, Green and Blue. Chinese pricing starts at CNY 3,999 (around $562) for the 12GB/256GB model and goes to CNY 5,199 (around $730) for the 16GB/1TB trim. Pre-orders in China begin today, with global availability expected to follow.
