Realme has unveiled Realme UI 7.0, a significant redesign built on Android 16 that leans into transparency, smarter AI and deeper customization. The Realme GT 8 Pro will be the first handset to ship with the update, and older phones will begin receiving the rollout this month.
A fresh, transparent look: Light Glass Design
At the heart of Realme UI 7.0 is what the company calls the "Light Glass Design": an aesthetic that uses layered transparency, subtle depth and fluid motion to mimic glass. Visual touches include Ice Cube Icons, a Misty Glass Control Center and a Breathing Dock that animates and breathes life into the home screen. The result is a cleaner, more modern interface that emphasizes clarity without losing personality.
Personalization goes much further
Realme is expanding customization tools so users can truly make the interface their own. Flux Theme 2.0 introduces large-text themes, while the Always On Display can now use panoramic views. Wallpapers can be Live Photos or short videos with AI-generated depth-of-field effects, and fingerprint unlock animations are now configurable. Expect new widgets, lock screen styles and resizable Flux Desktop icons that help you arrange apps exactly how you like.
Apple devices play nicer with Realme
One headline addition is iPhone and Apple Watch Connect — a bridge for cross-ecosystem convenience. You’ll be able to sync health data from an Apple Watch to a Realme phone, and calls or messages from an iPhone can surface on compatible Realme watches. It’s a noteworthy move toward more flexible device interoperability.

Smarter tools that save time
Realme UI 7.0 leans on AI to cut notification clutter and help users manage priorities. AI Notify Brief collects non-urgent alerts and compiles morning and evening summaries, schedules updates and can spin reminders or to-dos from messages. For creators and gamers, AI Framing Master offers guided composition tips while you shoot, and AI Gaming Coach analyzes gameplay to offer quick tactical advice.
Speed and smoothness: improvements under the hood
Under the hood, the Flux Engine gets optimizations Realme says will boost system responsiveness by 15%, make app scrolling up to 29% smoother and raise everyday performance by about 22%. New "Seamless Animations" complement those gains to make transitions feel more fluid across the UI. The Multi-task sidebar also delivers faster access to favorite apps and tools without leaving the current screen — handy when you need quick splits or utilities on the fly.
Where and when you can get it
The Realme GT 8 Pro ships with Realme UI 7.0 out of the box. Rollout to existing models starts this month, with the Realme GT 7 Pro listed among the first to receive the update. An Open Beta is already available for select devices, and Realme says it will publish a more detailed update roadmap soon.
Imagine a phone interface that feels lighter, more adaptive and a little smarter about what you see and when — Realme UI 7.0 appears to push in that direction, blending style with practical AI features that could make daily smartphone use noticeably smoother.
