Honor has confirmed the launch date for its next smartphone family. The Honor 500 series will debut in China on November 24 at 19:30 local time, bringing two models that aim to mix flagship-class hardware with punchy design cues.
What Honor officially revealed — and what we already know
The company says the lineup will include the Honor 500 and Honor 500 Pro. Both phones show a clean, flat back panel and a horizontal camera module that echoes the aesthetic of recent premium devices. Full spec sheets are still pending, but multiple leaks and manufacturer hints give a clear picture of Honor's priorities: big batteries, high-resolution cameras, and strong performance.
Honor 500 Pro: flagship ambitions with monster battery
The Pro is shaping up as the headline model. Expect a 6.55-inch display with a 2736 x 1264 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth scrolling and gaming. Under the hood, leaks point to Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite paired with up to 16GB of RAM and as much as 1TB of storage, while the more likely base config starts at 12GB/256GB.
Battery life looks like a major focus: an enormous 8000mAh silicon battery combined with 80W wired charging and 50W wireless charging should translate to multi-day endurance for many users. Software will reportedly be MagicOS 10 on top of Android 16.

Camera hardware is ambitious too. The Pro may pack a 200MP primary sensor, a 64MP periscope telephoto for long-range shots, and an ultra-wide module. One well-known leaker warned that early prototype samples showed imaging limits tied to processing, so final photo quality will depend on Honor's tuning. Extra touches include a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and Honor's C1+ RF chip to boost connectivity.
Honor 500: a balanced option with flagship DNA
The standard Honor 500 is no lightweight. It should also use a 6.55-inch OLED display at a 1.5K resolution with a 120Hz refresh rate, and both models are expected to feature a 50MP front camera for selfies and video calls.
For rear imaging, the regular model is tipped to include a 200MP main sensor plus a 12MP ultra-wide lens. Performance will likely come from the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset, a slightly pared-down but capable variant of Qualcomm's top silicon. The regular 500 may match the Pro's 8000mAh battery and 80W wired charging, though wireless charging could remain exclusive to the Pro. Open questions ahead of the event
Key details still missing: official pricing, precise memory and storage tiers, real-world camera quality, and plans for global rollout. Will Honor bring the 500 series to markets outside China immediately, or follow a staggered schedule? And can the company tune that 200MP sensor to match expectations?
