The Lava Agni 4 debuts in India as a mid-range contender that leans heavily on performance and AI. With MediaTek's Dimensity 8350, a bright 120Hz AMOLED panel and a new on-device assistant called Vayu AI, Lava aims to deliver speed, battery life and smarter software for around the sub-25k INR segment.
Performance and display that punch above the price
Under the hood the Agni 4 runs on the Dimensity 8350 SoC, paired with up to 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.0 storage—fast memory and storage that help apps load quicker and multitasking feel smooth. Lava also added a vapor chamber cooling system to keep sustained loads in check.

The handset sports a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, 1.5K resolution and a peak brightness of 2,400 nits. Colors should be punchy, and the in-display fingerprint scanner keeps the front clean and modern.
Camera setup and video chops
Camera hardware is straightforward: a 50MP primary sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) and an 8MP ultrawide on the rear. Expect sharp daytime shots and steadier video thanks to OIS. For selfies and video calls, Lava includes a 50MP front camera. Impressively, the phone supports 4K at 60fps recording across all three cameras, which is a useful feature for creators on a budget.
Battery, charging and daily use
The Agni 4 packs a 5,000mAh battery and supports 66W wired charging, a combination that promises all-day runtime and quick top-ups. Software ships on Android 15, with Lava committing to three years of OS upgrades and four years of security updates—an increasingly important selling point for longevity-minded buyers.

Vayu AI and software highlights
One of the headline features is Vayu AI, Lava’s new system-level assistant which the company describes as having “emotional awareness.” It integrates AI features across the phone and supports Google’s Circle to Search. Expect contextual helpers, on-device prompts and other AI-driven utilities tailored to daily tasks.
