Logitech has quietly refreshed one of its most popular budget-performance mice. The new G304 X Lightspeed keeps the classic shell gamers love but reworks the internals for lower weight, longer battery life and sharper tracking—without breaking the bank.
Smaller battery, lighter feel, smarter balance
The headline change is a move from a removable AA cell to a built-in 290mAh lithium battery, which trims the mouse down to roughly 57 grams. Beyond shaving grams, Logitech rebalanced the internals so the weight sits closer to the center. The result is a noticeably more stable feel during flicks and quick aim corrections—something FPS players will appreciate.
Next-level tracking and flexible connectivity
Under the shell sits the Hero 25K optical sensor, delivering precise tracking from 100 to 25,000 DPI today. Logitech says an upcoming update via G Hub will unlock 25,600 DPI. The sensor supports a 1000Hz polling rate, over 400 IPS tracking speed and up to 40G acceleration tolerance, offering reliable performance across fast-paced and precise gameplay.

Connectivity is dual-mode: updated Lightspeed 2.4GHz wireless for low-latency play and a USB-C wired option for charging and uninterrupted sessions. Logitech also claims the latest Lightspeed tweaks reduce latency and resistance to wireless interference in crowded setups.
Battery life built for marathon sessions
The internal battery promises up to 106 hours of wireless use on a single charge. Short on time? A 10-minute fast charge is advertised to buy roughly 11 hours of runtime, and you can continue gaming while charging through the USB-C cable.
Customization, build and platform support
The G304 X stores one default profile onboard and works with Logitech G Hub to unlock up to five configurable profiles. Physical touches include PTFE glide feet for smooth movement and primary switches rated to 20 million clicks.

A quick note on Logitech's wider lineup
Meanwhile, Logitech recently brought the MX Master 4 to India, adding haptic feedback to its flagship productivity line. The company continues to stretch across both gaming and productivity markets, tuning hardware for different users rather than one-size-fits-all designs.
