Samsung will reveal its next flagship trio at Galaxy Unpacked on February 25. Expect shiny silicon, fresh displays and a few incremental wins — but when it comes to battery capacity, only one phone looks to step up.
The series will likely include the Galaxy S26, S26+ and S26 Ultra. Leaks point to a modest but meaningful change for the base model: a 4,300mAh cell, roughly 300mAh larger than the S25’s battery. The S26+ and S26 Ultra appear to keep their predecessors’ sizes at 4,900mAh and 5,000mAh, respectively.
Why would Samsung boost only the smallest model? It’s not just about adding milliamps. The rumored S26 also sports a slightly larger 6.3-inch screen, and sources say the handset will pair a more power-efficient chipset with an updated OLED material. Put simply: the math favors longer battery life even without a huge cell.

Only the base Galaxy S26 is expected to get a larger battery — 4,300mAh — while the S26+ and S26 Ultra remain unchanged.
Charging performance looks predictable rather than revolutionary. Leaks suggest the S26 will stick with 25W wired and 15W wireless charging. The S26+ should support 45W wired and 15W wireless, while the Ultra may top the line with 60W wired and 25W wireless speeds.
One small but practical detail: none of the models are expected to include built-in magnets for the new Qi2 standard. If you want magnetic wireless accessories, plan on using a magnetic case.
- Galaxy S26: 4,300mAh battery; 25W wired, 15W wireless
- Galaxy S26+: 4,900mAh battery; 45W wired, 15W wireless
- Galaxy S26 Ultra: 5,000mAh battery; 60W wired, 25W wireless
Samsung has already opened pre-reservations in select markets, and official specs will land on February 25. Questions remain: will software and efficiency gains translate into noticeably longer real-world endurance? We won't know until reviewers take these phones off the charger and into daily life.
