The device carries the model number A069 and runs Android 16. The unit benchmarked came with 12GB of RAM, though it's sensible to expect slimmer configurations when the phone actually ships. Short on fanfare, long on hints.
What the Geekbench log makes plain is the chipset: Snapdragon 7s Gen 4. That puts the Phone (4a) squarely in the upper mid-range territory, offering a persuasive balance between performance and battery efficiency without stepping into flagship pricing.
Early signs point to the 7s Gen 4 powering the standard Phone (4a), with a Phone (4a) Pro likely arriving alongside it.

On the storage front, at least one of the new models appears to be upgrading to UFS 3.1. That’s a welcome jump from the UFS 2.2 used in the Phone (3a) series — expect faster app loads and snappier file transfers where it matters.
