Word on the street says the OnePlus 15T will stick with a 50MP main shooter built around Sony's 1/1.56" Lytia 700 sensor with OIS, and pair it with a 50MP telephoto that uses Samsung's 1/2.76" ISOCELL JN5. Those are respectable components on paper, but they mirror the sensors reported in the 13T.
Here’s the kicker: the only camera change the leak highlights is the telephoto aperture, which reportedly narrows from f/2.0 on the 13T to f/2.8 on the 15T. Earlier reports tied to the same device point to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 under the hood, a battery described as unusually large for the phone’s footprint, a 6.32-inch AMOLED panel with a 1.5K resolution, and a 16MP front camera. Performance and stamina, then, over a camera renaissance.
If this leak proves accurate, the OnePlus 15T looks like an evolutionary update—more muscle and endurance, but not a dramatic leap in imaging.
That’s not automatically a bad choice. Many buyers value battery life and raw speed above marginal camera tweaks. Still, for anyone hoping the 15T would outshine the 13T in low-light telephoto shots, this report will feel like a step back rather than forward.
