Skoda teases its largest EV yet

Skoda has released one final teaser for the Peaq, its most ambitious electric people carrier to date, ahead of the global debut on June 23, 2026. The flagship will be unveiled in France at 18:25 CEST and promises to bring three-row practicality to the Volkswagen Group's MEB electric architecture with the sort of design and aerodynamic thinking that aims to make it a family SUV standout.

Design cues and aerodynamic thinking

The new Peaq draws heavily on the Vision 7S concept while evolving Skoda's Modern Solid design language. The teaser highlights a high-gloss black Tech-Deck Face and distinctive T-shaped LED matrix headlights. At the rear, claw-shaped LED taillights feature crisp trailing edges that act almost like tiny spoilers, helping air break away cleanly, a trick that is reinforced by an extended roof spoiler. Functional air curtains and smooth surface transitions along the flanks underline the Peaq's aerodynamic intent as much as its visual identity.

Size and engineering credibility

Skoda confirms the Peaq measures 4.9 meters between bumpers with a 2,965 mm wheelbase, making it the brand's largest model for the 2027 line-up. The company says development prototypes logged more than 1.5 million kilometers of real-world testing, covering extremes from the Arctic Circle to the heat of Southern Arizona. That sort of durability testing is aimed at ensuring the three-row electric SUV meets family expectations for comfort, reliability, and long-distance touring.

Powertrain options and range

Built on the rear-biased MEB platform that also underpins the Enyaq and Elroq, the Peaq will launch with a three-tier drivetrain strategy. The entry-level model, badged 60, uses a 63 kWh battery pack and a 201 hp rear-wheel-drive motor. Like other MEB cars, this setup uses a 400 V electrical architecture.

Higher-spec models use a 91 kWh battery reserved for the 90 and 90x variants. The single-motor 90 produces 282 hp, while the dual-motor 90x develops around 295 hp and is said to sprint to 100 km/h in 6.7 seconds. Skoda quotes more than 600 kilometers of range from the 91 kWh pack, giving families genuine long-distance capability.
