Polish tuner Carlex Design has unveiled the Icon Riviera, a heavily revised Mercedes-AMG G 63 finished as a limited run of just three examples and offered for sale with worldwide shipping. The Icon Riviera brings period-inspired exterior styling and a fully reupholstered, bespoke cabin while retaining the G 63's factory powertrain and performance figures.

Exterior and detailing

The Icon Riviera replaces the G 63's standard front bumper with a unit styled to evoke an older era, matched by a new horizontal-slat grille carrying Carlex's logo and chrome-accented rear bumper. A custom spare wheel carrier fitted to the rear door mirrors the treatment of the wheels, contributing to the build's vintage appearance. The car also appears to have tinted headlamps, taillights and indicators, and retains Mercedes-Benz's three-pointed star on the hood. Wider wheel arches, new side steps and new tailpipes are visible, with the outlets kept in their original positions.

Carlex applies a two-tone finish, with a buttery paint on the lower body panels and central wheel surfaces, white upper bodywork and a pinstripe running the length of the exterior. Small Carlex inserts and a distinctive roof treatment are additional touches. Carlex published the photos on its Instagram account, @carlex_vehicles.

Interior, powertrain and availability

Inside, the Icon Riviera follows Carlex's established strength: bespoke upholstery and trim. The photographed example uses exotic hide on several surfaces and high-grade leather elsewhere, with redesigned front seats and Carlex badges. The cargo area has been reupholstered as well, including custom storage pockets on the right side and a rollable mat on the left.

Carlex does not modify the drivetrain on this project, so the vehicle keeps the Mercedes-AMG G 63's standard output. That is a 4.0-liter bi-turbo V8 producing 577 hp (585 ps/430 kW) and 627 pound-feet (850 Nm) of torque. Mercedes-AMG quotes a 0 to 60 mph (0 to 97 kph) time of 4.2 seconds for the model. Carlex has not announced pricing for the Icon Riviera. The Icon Riviera is limited to three units worldwide and Carlex is offering the build for sale with shipping arranged internationally.

Carlex earned its reputation with high-end interiors before expanding into more extensive exterior revisions, and the Icon Riviera continues that approach by combining period-styled exterior details with fully bespoke cabin work.
