Renault has updated its Scenic E-Tech crossover for 2027 with a noticeably larger battery, faster charging times and more equipment while keeping prices unchanged. Under WLTP, the new 89 kWh nickel manganese cobalt battery enables a claimed 630 km on a single charge, and Renault says charging from 15 to 80 percent now takes 28 minutes, down from 37 minutes on the previous Scenic.
With government incentives applied, Renault lists the base Tech grade from £33,245. The Tech Sport Alpine and Iconic Sport Alpine follow at £36,245 and £38,245 respectively, prices that Renault says make the Scenic more competitive against rivals such as the Tesla Model Y rear-wheel-drive.

Battery, charging and performance
The headline change is the 89 kWh NMC battery pack. Renault quotes a WLTP range of 630 km, about 17 km more than the outgoing Scenic and 22 km more than the Tesla Model Y rear-wheel-drive. Peak DC charging remains at 150 kW, but software and thermal optimizations cut the 15–80 percent charge time from 37 minutes to 28 minutes.
Renault will also add a lower-cost 67 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery to the line-up. Renault states that pack delivers 466 km WLTP and supports up to 165 kW DC charging, allowing a 15–80 percent charge in around 24 minutes. Both battery options drive the same 215 hp electric motor on the front axle. Acceleration remains unchanged at 0–100 km/h in 7.9 seconds.

Styling changes are modest. The Scenic avoids a heavy facelift; bumpers at the front and rear are finished in piano black and new 19 and 20-inch alloy wheel designs are available. Two-tone colour options, called Exo Grey and Slate Blue, join the palette. Inside, seat trims have been refreshed on Tech and Sport Alpine grades.

Equipment varies by trim. The Tech grade includes an electric tailgate, heated front seats and steering wheel, and a cooled wireless phone charger, and its 19-inch wheels are tied to the 630 km WLTP figure. The Tech Sport Alpine rides on 20-inch wheels and is rated at 620 km, while adding electrically adjustable front seats and a driver massage function. The range-topping Iconic Sport Alpine is quoted at 614 km and adds a segmented electrochromic panoramic roof, a Harman Kardon sound system, a 360-degree camera, a digital rearview mirror and an automatic parking system.

Scenic's infotainment remains Google-based with a digital instrument cluster and a large vertical touchscreen. Renault says it has significantly upgraded its driver assistance suite to improve urban traffic analysis, lane centring and automatic emergency braking. A new interior camera is now standard; it monitors driver attention and, by recognising different faces, automatically sets the vehicle to each driver’s preferred configuration.
