2027 Volkswagen Caddy UK orders open; Cargo from £26,145

Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has opened UK order books for the 2027 Caddy; Cargo models start at £26,145 excluding VAT and the People version from £28,900 excluding VAT.

Production began in September 2026 at Volkswagen's Poznan factory in Poland. Initial customer deliveries for the United Kingdom are scheduled for October 2026.

The mid-cycle update brings a larger interior revision than expected, including illuminated temperature sliders positioned beneath a new free-standing 12.9-inch infotainment screen. Digital Cockpit Pro is now standard and new upholstery and trim finishes join the changes.

The Caddy also gains 25-watt wireless phone charging and an additional USB-C socket mounted on top of the dash to reduce cable clutter when running secondary navigation or similar devices.

Powertrain choices for UK buyers centre on a 1.5-litre eHybrid plug-in hybrid with a dual-clutch gearbox and a 2.0-litre TDI diesel. The 2.0 TDI delivers 102 ps (101 hp) with a manual transmission, while the eHybrid is rated at 150 ps (148 hp) and is offered with DSG only.

Caddy People variants receive slightly different options, led by a higher-output diesel or a non-hybrid 1.5 TSI producing 116 ps (114 hp).

Exterior changes are conservative: the boxy Caddy shape remains but the front bumper is sharper and cleaner. Volkswagen adds four new metallic paints—Grey Brown, Sunset Red, Grenadilla Black and Reed Green—bringing the total palette to 11 solid and metallic finishes.

Wheel choices follow trim lines: base commercial trims use 16-inch steel wheels, while top-spec panel vans fit 17-inch alloys. Driver aids have been updated, with assisted lane changing integrated into Travel Assist and Emergency Assist programming revised to intervene more effectively if it detects an unresponsive driver.

Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles reported more than 110,000 global Caddy deliveries in 2025. UK Cargo buyers receive the 5+ Promise aftersales package at no extra charge; the package covers five services, three MOTs, a five-year/124,000-mile warranty and five years of roadside assistance.

Finance offers start from £339 per month on PCP or contract hire structures.
